I'm just chilling out at home. My schedule can be frantic at times so it's nice when I do get to hang out at home or see my family. Me and Alliyah are lazing about watching whatever is on the telly. She's sorting dinner out, I tried to help her but she kicked me out of the kitchen. I don't hear much noise coming from in there so I decide to go and check in on her. When I get in the kitchen, she's sat down at the kitchen bar, eating. I look around to see where my portion is but I can't see it so I ask her.
"Hey babe, I didn't know you had finished and that it was ready. Is it in the microwave?"
She just looks at me like she didn't understand my question. I stay standing where I am as I wait for her to speak.
"I decided to eat it all. Get yourself something out of the cupboard or something if you're hungry."
Taken aback a bit, I walk over to the cupboards to find myself something to eat. I'm not the best cook. I find a tin of beans and help myself to some bread. I grab the packet of grated cheese.
"Alliyah, sorry, I thought you were cooking for both of us with you asking me what I'd like to eat and offering to cook it. Are you enjoying it?"

—-

"Yeah, it's really good. I changed my mind. That's why I'm eating it all."
I smile and nod. I'm happy that she's at least enjoying it even if it was meant for both of us. I place the bread in the toaster and then the beans into the microwave. I remember about the butter so I go to get that out of the fridge. The toast pops up, followed by the microwave beeping like they do. Once it's all done, I go to sit next to Alliyah. She's busy on her phone.

Half way through me eating my dinner, she gets up, dumps her crockery into the sink, tells me to wash them and leaves the kitchen. I end up sitting here alone. It doesn't take me long to finish and I go to wash the pots.

I'm sitting in the living room watching a film with Alliyah and then her phone rings. Instead of taking the call elsewhere, she stays and talks away to whoever she's talking to. At least whoever she's talking to is getting a conversation out of her, more than I do. My own phone pings with a notification from the photo app. I see it's Kacey, from yesterday. Wow, I can't believe I actually remembered her name. I don't usually remember names that well at first. She's tagged me in a photo of me and her. Aww. It's cute. I decide to send her a direct message to her. I just want to thank her for tagging me and so on. I make small talk with her.

Alliyah comes in. Not looking too happy. She has her hand on her hip and she's pouting.
"Oi, Jake! Where's my dress that I bought the other day?!"
