Nelly

Early 2000s

Your POV

"I know, baby. I know. Stop crying," I pleaded as the teething baby continued to cry. I grabbed his teething ring out of the freezer and gave it to him. He immediately put it in his mouth to soothe the irritation.

He quietly sniffled as he rested his head on my chest.

"I hope that feels better, baby," I told him as I wiped the stray tears from his face. He sighed softly closing his eyes.

"So you're not going to tell Nelly about him?" my sister asked and I rolled my eyes.

"He knows about his son. He just chooses to not be here and at this point, I do not care," I told her and she sighed.

"You don't?"

"He doesn't wanna be here then oh well. He missed everything. The entire pregnancy, the birth and the first eight months of his son's life. I do not care anymore. I've called and texted. There is no point in trying anymore."

"You gonna put him on child support?" she questioned.

"No," I told her and she looked at me like I was crazy.

"What?" I questioned.

"He at least owes him something," she told me.

"Maybe, but not right now," I replied. Zyair slowly fell asleep, so I laid him down in his crib and let him be. My sister followed me down the stairs into the kitchen. I started to prepare lunch because I was hungry and I knew Zyair would be hungry when he woke up. I heard slight knocking on the front door but I ignored it because I didn't feel like talking to anyone.

"Someone is at the door. I'll get it," My sister said hurrying to go answer it before I could say anything.

"She's in the kitchen," I heard her say. I groaned resting my head in my hands.

"Y/N," I heard from the last person that I wanted to see.

"What are you doing here?" I asked pissed because I knew my sister called him.

"Your sister called me," he said and I looked at her.

"Well, both of you can get out. I'm not dealing with this right now," I told them.

"Y/N, come on," he said and I looked at him.

"Out," I told him.

"Y/N, I'm sorry," he told me.

"Okay, that's good. Get out," I told him.

"Y/N, just listen," he pleaded.

"No, you called me a cheating hoe to my face, degraded me in the public eye and told me that my son was just going to be another fatherless child. I have nothing to say to you. You have nothing to say to me. Get out of my house," I replied. He stepped closer to me and I moved away from him.
