I woke up Monday morning excited that I'd be seeing Adrian today. I've spent practically my whole weekend trying to think of ways to become friends with this stubborn boy.

And I have come to the decision of stalking him, well not literally, but to the point where I sit with him in every class we have and at lunch.

I skipped into the kitchen finding my mom making breakfast with dad at the table reading a newspaper. '' Good morning'' I chirped kissing their cheeks.

''Morning, you look really excited at this ungodly time of day'', dad said. Dad isn't much of a morning person; mom has to forcefully wake him up for work or he'd oversleep.

I chuckled lowly. Quickly gulping down my breakfast before rushing out the door shouting '' bye'' behind my back.

Arriving to school o went straight to my locker to get my books out. Trying to figure out how to open this thing I mentally wished Steph was here so she could open this damn locker.

A second later- wish granted.

Stephanie came crashing onto me, hugging the life out of me and choking me at the same time. '' Steph ... can't breathe.... Steph!''

Finally she let go causing me to fall against the lockers trying to get some oxygen into my lungs. I glared at the smiling brat in front of me.'' What the hell was that for? Do you even call that hugging?''

She ignored what I said and started jumping up and down in excitement.

''Guess what?''

''What?''

'' Jacob asked ME OUT! 'She then proceeded squealing and happy dancing at the same time.

'' Good for you Steph'', I smiled genuinely happy for he. At last she scored the boy she wants to be with. All that primping was actually worth it, if he didn't ask her out. I would've personally gone and slapped some sense out of him.

'' Now that you have your love life on check open my locker.''

Classes passed by and every time I attempted to speak with Adrian he would just ignore me as if I'm not even there. This thing is really starting to frustrate me. Why couldn't he stop with the stubbornness and actually have a decent conversation. When the lunch bell rang I followed Adrian to the back of the school.

Hmmm. That's where he disappears to.

Typical.

Nevertheless, it was a great place where someone wants to be alone in this crowded school.

Adrian leaned onto the wall and slid sown sitting on the ground. Sighing he dropped his head on his hands shaking it.

''You know, it's not healthy to ship lunch everyday''.

His head snapped to my direction in surprise. But that quickly disappeared anger replacing it. I went and sat next to him crossing my legs and pulling out two sandwiches I bought earlier from my bag. Dropping one onto his lap I started eating my own. He stared at me in surprise then transferred his gaze to the sandwich in front of him.

He kept on staring at it for what seemed like an hour even though only two minutes passed; but surge of happiness flowed through me when I saw that flicker of a smile; even if it was for a second. I knew that my plan to befriend him is gradually happening.

He tore the wrapping and started eating quietly. We stayed silent until we finished our lunch.

I turned to him smirking.'' Enjoyed your lunch?''

He turned to me smiling lightly and nodded.

''You know it's not a sin to have friends'', I said softly.

''I know'' he said looking down. I smiled triumph. I am so good at convincing people.

''So what do you do out here?''

'' Nothing.''

'' What do you think of your school life you know considering the fact that you don't have friends''.

''Good.''

Great we moved on to one-worded answers.

'' Right...'', I looked at him for a while and then stuck out my hand to him.

He looked at me in confusion.

'' What? We're friends now right? we gotta shake on it.'' I looked at him smiling encouragingly.

He looked at my hand for a while. I am starting to fear that he will reject my hand nut fortunately; he shook my hand smiling at me.

'' Thank god. I thought for a second there you would ignore me'' I sighed.

''You talk a lot''.

Wow. That was not a random at all.

''Well maybe it's because I do all the talking'' I said raising my eyebrow. ''You're not much of a talker''.

''You don't know me''.

The fact that you want to commit suicide is enough. I smiled, ''that means we should become the best of friends''.

''That does not make any sense''.

I scoffed,'' to me it does and that is the most important''.

He ignored me and stared ahead.

''So beastie what are you doing afterschool? I want to take you to this awesome ice cream shop that sells the best ice cream you could ever taste''.

''I have something to do''.

''What?''

'' That's none of your business''.

I gaped at him with the sudden change of mood. Form relaxed to tense and angry.

''Oh, okay'', I answered staying silent.

And that is how we spent the rest of our lunch.
