I don't remember exactly when it was that I decided I hated my life. It could have been when my fiance cheated on me with my cousin then left me for her.
It could have been while a watched my father die, it could have been while I placed my life on the line for some stupid human who never appreciated it.
It could have been while I watched everyone in my pack move on with their lives with the people they loved, while I was the lonely bitter woman who couldn't move on from the fact that her fiance left her.
I sat alone while I watched my younger brother flirt with his imprint, while our backyard was crowded by numerous people for a barbeque my mom was throwing for my cousin, Emily's birthday. I wanted to be out there socializing with everyone but what would I even say to them.
'Hello aunt Susan, remember me, the last time you saw me I was handing you a wedding invitation to a wedding that was later cancelled without my knowledge. '
I grimace at my own thoughts, got up and dusted off my teal bodycon dress, before walking inside. I walked towards the stairs to my bedroom when suddenly my mom popped out of the kitchen.

"Leah, where are you going? Did you wish Emily happy birthday?" She pushed.
I sighed, "Mama, I really don't wanna socialize right now."
"Why not? That's your family out there. Have you even said a word to anyone since they arrived? You can't keep pushing everyone away." She sighed, shaking her head in disappointment.
"Mama, I love you I really do but I have nothing to say to these people. Since Emily and Sam arrived together, everyone out there has been looking at me like at any moment they're waiting for me to explode. " I rambled.
I stumbled toward the couch before plopping down in frustration and hurt.
"I know it's hard, honey. But it's been almost two years, you have to move on." Mom ordered.
