You're the light, you're the night

You're the color of my blood

You're the cure, you're the pain

You're the only thing I wanna touch

Love Me Like You Do, Ellie Goulding

Jimin laughed merrily at the sound of Jungkook's sound echoing from the kitchen. It was another morning, another day where Jungkook volunteered to cook again after almost setting their cozy kitchen on fire accidentally.

It was no secret that the golden Jeon Jungkook who was good at everything wasn't good with cooking. His husband had a love and hate relationship with cooking. He always messed up in one way or another. Well, if he would just have some patience...

Another curse echoed from the kitchen and he laughed aloud. He slid off the chair where Jungkook put him in the living room earlier and headed to the kitchen. The billowing smoke was the first to reach him and he coughed, waving his hand in front of his face as Jungkook ran around opening the kitchen windows to let the smoke out.

"Baby, why don't you take a seat and let me whip something real quick, hmm?" he asked, wrapping his free hand around his middle.

Jungkook pouted. "No. Just give me five minutes. I almost had it this time."

Jimin sighed. "That's the last of the eggs." He walked around him to snatch the box from his hand. "Go and sit down. I'm hungry."

He looked like he wanted to argue but gave up when Jimin narrowed his eyes in a challenging manner.

Stubborn oaf.

He'd now sulk and mop for an entire hour until Jimin kissed him better, but they were already running late to open the diner. Jimin set the box on the counter, grimacing when he noticed the burned pan. That was the third pan in just a month. He cast a disapproving glance over his shoulder, dumped the pan in the sink, and grabbed another, making a note to purchase a few more and hide it from Jungkook.

Their adopted elderly cat, Henry meowed, finally poking its head from the kitchen door asking as if it was safe to come inside. His nose twitched as he let out another meow, fixing his judgmental eyes on Jungkook with a twitch of its tail.

"Hey, Henry. Come on in." He whipped the eggs and glanced at Jungkook who sat there on the kitchen stool with a petulant pout. "Jungkook, can you feed Henry?"
