When Parker woke up the next morning, her sheets and comforter were all ruffled out of place as they were piled on top of her body. The last thing she remembered was Sam comforting her in her state of distress as they both slowly fell asleep. But as Parker slowly came back to consciousness she reached her arm out only to feel an empty space beside her. She turned her head to the clock on her nightstand to find out once again she was late to school. Parker threw on a grey sweatshirt and leggings and continued to get ready as fast as she could. As she made her way into the kitchen like she did every morning, she was met with both Piper and Prue. Both of her sisters turned to her as she grabbed a to-go cup from the cabinet for her coffee, her sister's giving her an annoyed look.
"Late for school again I see," Prue exclaimed. "Parker you can't keep doing this"
"I got it, I'm sorry," She replied, avoiding eye contact with her sisters.
"Well, we can't keep getting phone calls from the school," Piper added.
Parker finally turned to the two in front of her, giving them a straight face, "Thanks for the advice moms," She walked past the duo without saying another word, hearing the two she left behind calling out her name.
Opening her car door, Parker had so many things running through her mind, and so many different worries, and going to school was not one of them. She pulled out of her slanted driveway and just started to drive. Drowning out every single stressful thing that had been going on in her life, as music flooded through her eardrums. She had no idea where she was going, but she didn't care all she wanted was for everything to just stop. Parker didn't know how long she had been driving until she heard the ringing come from her cell phone. She picked up the device recognizing the number as Prue's. She stared at the number blankly before hesitantly answering the phone.
"Hey," Prue's voice rang through the other end of the line. "I know you're not at school and I'm not mad, but I need you to come to Bucklands,"
The youngest hesitated, "Ok," She spoke, hanging up the phone.
Parker made her way through the big Bucklands building, weaving between different people in their business attire. By the time she had made it to Prue's floor, the sun started setting down upon Sanfrancisco. She opened the big red double doors leading to Prue's office, almost expecting a rant to come from her sister about skipping school.
"Hey sorry I'm so late traffic was–" But before Parker could finish her sentence she noticed her sister sleeping restlessly at her desk. Parker made her way over to her, slightly shaking her awake and calling out her name, but nothing was happening; Prue continued to lay on top of her desk lifeless. Panic began to flood through Parker's body, she started violently shaking Prue trying to get her to wake up; but little did she know that Prue was facing her own demons in her dreams. It wasn't until the phone started ringing that the oldest Halliwell jolted awake from the sound, almost as if she was set free from her own mind.
Prue looked over at Parker letting out a puff of air and then turned to pick up the phone. The entire phone call Prue was speaking in shaky, rigid breaths, barely able to get any words out. Parker had no idea what was going on with her sister, all she knew was that she must have had one hell of a nightmare because by the time Prue was done with her phone call her boss Rex appeared in her office and slightly tapped her sisters should and she instantly grabbed an envelope cutter, raising it at Rex, about to attack him.
A frightened expression made its way onto Rex's face, "Bloody hell,"
"Prue your hand," Parker pointed out, noticing the smeared blood staining her sister's skin.
Prue looked down at the object in her hand, quickly dropping it onto her desk, "Rex I am so sorry, I've just been on edge these past couple of days,"
"It's quite alright Prue," He said, adjusting his suit, "But I would advise you to go home and get some rest," He gave the duo a curt nod before turning around and leaving the office.
