Napabuntong hininga ako bago tumayo at harapin siya. Tila napakunot 'yung noo niya sa'kin. Napakuyom nang mahigpit ang kamao ko sa likuran.
Even though I'm nervous, I still kept the calm expression on my face. "I found the book you're looking for." I said before showing him the book. He looked at me with a mix of confusion and doubt.
To pour some sweetness here since there are eyes watching me, I have to make my smile better...
He let out a small cough. "Uh, where did you find it?" he asked in almost whisper not looking at me.
"Sa sahig lang, bago ka kasi umalis ay naiwan mo 'yan sa pwesto mo kanina." I answered casually. I saw his face got flustered.
"You were... Watching me?" he asked yet I didn't know what to answer to that. Nilahad ko na lang sa kanya 'yung libro.
"Here," I tried to move closer, but then I stumbled just to realize my shoelaces were tied together! Napasubsob ako nang tuluyan sa dibdib niya.
Right, for a girl who loves to wear sport shoes instead of that weird school shoes they've given to us. I've finally got my price for breaking the dress code!
I felt his arms guided me. Tila napaatras naman ako pagkatapos niya ako tulungang tumayo nang tuwid. Hindi ako makapaniwala sa nakakahiyang pangyayari!
I immediately untied this hecking shoelaces before looking at them at the back!
Huh? How nice... I saw Trace and Wyn giggling strangely. Those annoying guys! Naningkit ang mga mata ko sa kanila samantalang ay nabaling kaagad ang atensyon ko sa mga hah! Nakakatuwang dalaga. They winked playfully at me.
'Always smile'
The girls low-key murmured to me.
'You agreed to this don't be such a kill joy,'
Pardon?!
I took a brief moment to calm my nerves before doing that cringy thing Leona is telling me to do right now! I swallowed hard to prevent the embarrassment from overwhelming me.
Dang it!
Napatingin ako muli kay Silver as I put my not that really long bangs at the back of my ear, and I didn't know why my face suddenly heated up just by doing so! Napapatingin ako sa kung saan-saan.
Biglang may dumaan sa likod ni Silver na ikinakuha nang atensyon ko, napakindat si Wyn sa'kin pero umayos ito nang lingunin siya ni Silver, pretending to get some cold water inside the iced bucket! Oh my blood is boiling!
I was beginning to feel mad but Silver's back at staring me. Nataranta ako at kaagad ikinalma ang mukha. Nag-isip ako kung ano ang susunod kong gagawin.
I coughed softly as I looked at the book I'm holding. "Here it is." sabi ko pa.
Kinuha niya naman ito bago saglit na tumango sa akin, medyo nakataas pa ang kilay sa pagtataka bago pumasok muli sa loob.
I sighed as his presence gone, I took a glimpse at the others one last time and they are making movements that I should go and follow him inside.
"You're kidding me? That conversation exceeds 5 minutes," I told them but they refused. I continued to argue but they are all insisting that I didn't have anymore reasons to argue back, I just bit the insides of my lips before entering his dark den!
I was expecting it to be as dim as before, but to my surprise, it wasn't really that dark. The number of candles had increased.
He directly looked at me, probably wondering why I was here again. Oh boy, he must think I'm being weird.
Fortunately his eyes went back to the book he is reading.
