|SILVER|
Special Chapter
Silence filled the air as the atmosphere shifted because of his questions. The mood we had just moments ago vanished, replaced by tension in an instant. Should I be surprised? It's no wonder that he'll crack a few jokes, and his sarcasm will be obvious in seconds. He's already noticed that I haven't been myself these past few weeks, or maybe I should say... I've been more like my true self lately.
I don't know what to feel. Am I dismayed by my own actions and disappointed in what's been happening to me? Or is it just the guilt for not fully completing my mission, as he says?
"I already gave you five weeks yet you still haven't found the key." his voice sliced through the silence as I took a step closer. "You even got yourself imprisoned multiple of times right now, that is just funny." he laughed sarcastically.
"Master, I apologize. The thief is dead along with her sister. I found out too late that they were the ones who stole the key," I explained, keeping my voice steady.
"Sa laro, sino-sino ba 'yung mga nagiging kalaban nila?!" malakas na pagkakasaad niya na mas lalong nagpabigat ng nararamdaman ko.
"Hindi ko alam. Nadatnan ko lamang na wala na silang buhay pagkatapos ng laro. At that time, I was also in the game, so it was very difficult for me to find out immediately."
He scoffed.
"That key is the only way to unlock the cage of darkness, we cannot easily break it since it's made by magic! You must find the key immediately, the gem is my heart. Without it being offered to the darkness, I'll perish." he hissed.
"Understood, master." I only replied, but his eyes suddenly narrowed, studying me with suspicion.
"Do you want me to perish, arrows?" his question felt more like a statement. Napalunok ako sa kakaibang enerhiyang natatanggap ko.
"N-no. Of course not master. No words can explain how much you mean to me." I looked at him, blank.
I know that my words aren't sincere at all. And I knew from this moment, the dark side of myself was truly gone.
"You're the reason I'm alive. And you're the reason of what I have become." pagtatapos ko.
He only looked at me, more serious than he usually was.
"Furthermore... The girl who stole the key died before her sister... You weren't in the game then, Silver. So tell me... Where were you?" his eyes turned red. I tightened my grip involuntarily.
I immediately recalled the moment I followed someone... It was Azami. There was just something about her with a sense of familiarity that I couldn't explain from the very first time I saw her.
"Silver." he called out and I was still hesitant to answer. In the end, I forfeited, I knew I will get caught eventually, he is frightening when he is truly angry!
"At that time... I saved someone—"
"You saved someone?" he spoke immediately. Napatakip ako ng mga mata.
"Forgive me, master." I bowed, my hands tightening around my clothes.
I had no idea what I was doing at that moment. From the very start, I already found it strange that she seemed so familiar. I had never met her before, yet for some reason, my heart ached every time I see her. Why? And how could that be?
Something inside urged me to get closer to her, as if I'm drawn by an invisible force. I began doing unreasonable things just to talk to her, to make her remember me, though even I didn't understand why. My confusion only made her more confused. Hanggang ngayon, ay hindi ko pa rin talaga alam.
