Me and Megan got to Regina's house a little after 5pm because I didn't want to show up to Regina's house empty handed so I bought a bottle of wine. I got out of the car and unbuckle Meg's car seat and we both walked hand in hand to Regina's door. When we got there I knocked on the door and when it opened I was greeted by Regina who was wearing black jeans, and a black shirt with a gold necklace.

Regina smiled at me and Megan and said "come on in make yourself at home." I smiled back at Regina and went into the house, Megan ran off to find Cora and Henry with me calling after her "Megan Anita Lucas-Swan don't run indoors". I said in a strict voice and Megan turned around and said " sorry mommy" and then she left to go find her grandparents. When I turned around I heard Regina chuckling at me and she said "motherhood really suits you Swan." I just laughed and handed Regina the wine bottle "if I remember correctly you said you would never drink beer again, so I got you wine." She just laughed " Swan I haven't drank beer since that party and your sure as hell right I will never drink it again." She started laughing.
Well Regina I guess that's what we get when we listened to Ruby about anything to do with partying I said with a small smile. Regina just gave a little small smile back and we headed into the kitchen together, when I got into the kitchen Regina asked me if I wanted something to drink. I just said "water please" she looked at me funny. I knew what she was thinking I just told her "I don't drink anymore."
When me Ruby, Regina and some of our other friends went to high school together on Friday nights we would get together drink and party, but ever since I had Megan I haven't drank any alcohol.
Regina got me a glass of water and said" Em I need to talk to you before we go and see my parents and act like everything is okay between us." I just look at her confused and replied " Regina everything is okay between us what are you talking about?"
No Emma it's not and that's my fault we haven't spoken in 5 years, hell I didn't even meet Megan until a week ago and I'm sorry about that. I wanted to be there for Ruby's funeral but I missed my flight and I had to wait a while for another one and then by the time I got back I didn't know if I should call you and I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you when it mattered." Regina said in a sad voice and looked at me with even sadder eyes.
I just looked at her for a minute put my hand on top of hers and said "Regina it's okay that we lost touch it happens sometimes, the phone goes both ways. I should of called you too it's not just your fault and for Ruby's funeral. I didn't even want to be there so I can blame you for not being there, yeah you missed your flight but it's okay that you didn't go because Ruby would have been happy you were following your dreams. Of traveling around the world that's all you talked about when we were in high school."
Regina just intertwined our hand and gave me a smile "thanks Em, you've always known how to make me feel better." We just stood there silently looking at each other until. I heard a little voice yell "mommy I found grandma Cora" when I heard Megan I jumped away from Regina and starting blushing and said "we should problay get over there."
When I found Megan she was with Cora and Henry. When Cora saw me she pulled me into a big hug talking with happiness in her voice, " dear we missed you and Megan so much it's been too long!" Henry saw that I needed help because Cora was hugging me to tight. So he stepped in and told Cora "Cora let Emma breath we don't want to squeeze her to death" with a a happy look on his face and then he gave me a quick hug.
We were at the dinner table eating dinner. All of us talking Cora and Henry asking how everything been since they last saw me, If I still needed help moving and of course they offered to babysit my little munchkin anytime. Henry and Cora are the best parents they're the type of parents I wished for my whole life the way they loved their kids and support them know matter what. When I became friends with Regina and Daniel their parents would always invite me to family dinner and we would all just sit there and eat together. Something I never really experience until I met the Mills and granny and I was thankful for getting to experience it with such amazing people.
When I gave birth to Megan they were in the waiting room and when me and Ruby came out and introduce Megan to them they started crying. Cora and Henry may not be my parents and we may not be related by blood but I consider them as much as Megan's grandparents as granny is.
I even asked if it would be okay if they wanted to be Megan's grandparents I remember exactly what they said "Emma we may not have birthed you but you are like a second daughter to us and we couldn't be more happier or prouder to be Megan's grandparents."
When we all finished dinner Cora and Henry suggested that we should watch a movie just like we did when we were kids on the weekends. Everyone agreed even Megan was excited to watch a movie.
While Cora, Henry and Megan were setting up the movie Regina and me cleaned up the table and made some popcorn and brought drinks out. When we put the popcorn and drinks on the coffee table I saw the only open seat was right next to Regina so I sat down.
When I got comfortable on the couch Megan came up to me and asked if she could sit in between me and Regina of course I said yes. So she cuddled in between me and Regina and we started watching the movie together. A couple minutes into the movie I realized me Megan and Regina got rather close when I looked at Regina I think she realized the same thing but she just smiled at me and went back to watching the movie.
Halfway through the movie I get a phone call from the station I answered it and said.
Emma: Hey, this is sheriff Swan.
Receptionist: There's someone here at the station looking for you. They say it's urgent.
Emma: Did they tell you what's it about?
Receptionist: No and she said she will only talk to you.
Emma: Okay I'm on my way bye.
When I got off the phone I looked at Megan and saw she was curled up into Regina's side. When Regina saw me looking at Megan she offered "hey she can stay with me until you get back if you need someone to watch her."
"Are you sure that's okay Regina?" I asked with a serious face. She just smiled and said "go if the station is calling you this late on a Saturday it's important." I said okay and got ready to leave when I got to the door I saw Cora and Henry heading out so I gave them a hug goodnight and left to go to the station.
