Sam gasped as soon as Clover stepped onto the runway. She couldn't stop herself from laughing when Clover strutted out in that ugly dress, trying to smile despite loathing every second she had to walk down the runway.
"Oh, poor Clover," Sam snorted, photographing her best friend as she walked. She then pressed her earpiece to contact Alex. "Alex, nothing fishy in the dresses, right?"
"Nope," Alex said. "I've thoroughly checked all of the dresses. So far, nothing sus."
"Good," Clover sighed in a low voice as she posed at the end of the runway. She turned around and returned to the back of the stage, catwalking all the while. A brunette model was next so Clover wasted no time getting out of the hideous dress.
She watched as the brunette walked down the runway and safely returned with no suspicious behaviour.
One by one, the models showcased the badly designed dresses and returned to the changing room to get out of it as fast as they could. No one thought those dresses were pretty.
The last model walked down the runway, trying to finish her turn as fast as she could so that she could get out of the crummy dress she was wearing too. Sam zoomed in on her, just like she did with every one of the other models. She suddenly noticed something odd about her. She gasped when the model grinned so wide that all 32 of her teeth showed, making her stunning face look menacing.
"Alex, was there anything in her dress?" Sam asked, not taking her eyes off her camera's screen once.
Alex and Clover peeked out of the curtains. "What's up, Sammy? There was nothing. I checked every fibre of it."
"I think she's our next victim," Sam said, walking closer towards the runway.
And sure enough, the model stood on the edge of the runway and started laughing hysterically, pointing at the crowd of onlookers as if they were really funny.
"Whoop!" The model exclaimed and playfully jumped off the runway in a swimming motion. Alex and Clover immediately ran up and caught hold of her feet. Sam was close enough to grab her from the bottom. She noticed that the girl had turned unconscious.
The fashion designer then ran up, still wearing his masterpiece. "Mio Dio!"
The spies brought the girl to the backstage area and tried to revive her. The other models tried helping too, with one of them even rushing to get water.
"Ugh... Qu'est-il arrivé?" The girl said, waking up. "What happened to me?"
"Calm down," Clover said, handing her a glass of water. "Drink this slowly."
"What happened?" The model asked again.
"You don't remember?" Alex asked in surprise. The girl shook her head. "Oh boy..."
"What's the last thing you remember?" Sam asked, helping the girl sit up.
"I remember stepping onto the runway, cursing this ugly dress, and walking down the lane," the girl frowned thoughtfully. "And then..."
"And then?" Clover asked.
"I... I don't know!" The girl blurted out. "The next thing I know, I am here. What happened?"
Sam sighed and looked for the footage in her camera. She showed it to the model, who gasped as she saw herself acting like a mad person.
"Oh Mon Dieu, how did this happen?!" The girl exclaimed in shock. "I need to go back to my room."
The spies nodded and escorted her back to her room.
"Get some rest, Mademoiselle Monet," Sam said before shutting the door. She turned back to her friends and frowned. "We need to find out what happened to Monet. Let's check the footages I recorded."
"You're right," Alex nodded. "Let's go!"
They ran back to their room and started going through the footage one by one to see if they could find anything.

Palace of Alaxia, Midnight
Martin, Diana, and Java stayed at their posts around the castle. They tried to cover the whole place, which was quite impossible, so they used cameras too.
But Martin's post was in the king's bedroom itself. He sat on an armchair and made sure the king and queen were safe. But of course, he didn't watch them a hundred percent of the time and ended up playing the mobile version of Buttkick Kong on his phone.
"Everything's clear here," Martin suddenly heard Diana say in the earpiece he wore. "Martin?"
"Yeah!" Martin exclaimed when he won the round he was playing. He realised he was still with the king and queen and immediately started talking in a low voice. "I mean yeah, everything's fine here. Jav?"
"Java no see anything," Java said from the living room.
"This is gonna be a long night," Diana sighed. She suddenly heard Martin giggling softly and rolled her eyes. "Martin. What are you doing?"
"Shh, I'm winning," Martin said quietly. "Keep it down."
Diana shook her head, shifting slightly in the hallway outside. "Oh great. Martin, could you please focus on the mission."
"Yeah, sure sure," Martin said after he won. He looked up at the sleeping figures of the king and queen and smirked. "They're fine, don't worry."
"Well, don't take your eyes off them," Diana frowned. "Bear in mind, you're having the most important job here."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever," Martin said in an annoyed tone. "I've got it covered, don't worry."
"Well, I hope you do," Diana sighed. "This is gonna be a long night."
"Well, duh, you're staying awake, after all," Martin's laughing voice spoke through her earpiece.
"Just shut up and watch the royal couple, idiot," Diana hissed. "Java, anything suspicious, just tackle it. Got that?"
"Java catch bad guy," Java smirked.
"At least someone's focussed on their job," Diana smirked.

Martin snored on his armchair, fast asleep. He suddenly heard a scream and woke up. To his horror, Rafiki's sleeping figure was floating in the air, surrounded by a green aura. The queen was awake, cowering in fear. Martin scrambled up to his feet and quickly summoned his X-Rod.
"Hang on, Your Highness," Martin assured as he fired a net, catching Rafiki. He pulled the king out of the green energy field, throwing both him and Rafiki to the ground.
"Rafiki!" The queen exclaimed, running towards her confused husband.
"What happened?" Rafiki asked, rather dazed.
Diana and Java burst into the room, just as Martin fired a force field to catch the staticky energy haze. It dodged, rapidly flying towards the slightly ajar window. Martin opened the window and climbed out of the roof to pursue it. Diana tended to the king and queen, while Java went after the mysterious energy with Martin.
Martin climbed onto the dome roof and was careful to not lose his footing. When he was finally able to stand properly, he fired another energy field at the green staticky ball of energy. To his satisfaction, the green ball was firmly caught by his X-Rod. He started pulling it, but to his dismay, it was too heavy.
A pair of strong arms grabbed his wrists and helped him pull it. Martin looked up at Java's smirking face and easily pulled it with his help.
"Okay, now how do we catch it?" Martin frowned as the energy ball got closer. He got an idea and handed the X-Rod to Java. He chuckled and pulled out the can of hairspray from his back pocket and sprayed it all over the energy field. "I almost forgot that hairspray can neutralise static. And Diana thinks it's weird that I carry this around."
The ball of energy froze in midair, falling onto Java's arms.
"Let's go back to the royal bedroom," Martin smirked, putting his X-Rod away. "Come on, Jav."
