"Nothing like a nice soak in the jacuzzi after a long day," Clover sighed, getting into the heart-shaped jacuzzi with her friends. "A nice, hot, and bubbly jacuzzi is all we need."
"And a good book," Sam added, relaxing herself. "But what's better than reading a good book is writing one. Hey, it would do you some good to read them once in a while."
"Pass," Alex said, closing her eyes as she leaned back. "I prefer smashing buttons on my controller!"
"Yeah, don't break it again," Sam said. "That's your second one this month!"
Alex scratched her head, giggling sheepishly.
"Yeah and make sure you use those headphones, Al," Clover said. "I wanna watch my new favourite show in peace."
"You and your boring shows," Alex booed. "I seriously don't understand what you find fun in that."
"Ask her, Alex, I can't understand too," Sam agreed.
They soon dried off and went their separate ways to do their daily things to relax.
Sam sat at her desk, typing out a new chapter for her book. Clover grabbed a box of popcorn and waited for her favourite show while Alex was picking a game to play.Diana sighed as she unpacked her stuff.
"Finally some peace with Martin safely tucked away in another floor," Diana said as she arranged her clothes in the wardrobe. "This dorm seems a lot more high-tech too!"
Elena was laying on her bed, reading a fashion magazine.
'Wonder what this girl is like,' Diana thought, glancing at her. 'I guess there's only one way to find out...'
"Hey!" Diana greeted, attempting to sound cool.
"Hey," Elena said without looking up from her magazine.
"Which courses do you take?" Diana asked.
"Fashion, Social Science, Thinking Skills," Elena said with a shrug. "What about you, newbie?"
"Uh..." Diana said, unable to answer. "I'll have to check again..."
'On second thought, Martin is a lot better than this,' Diana couldn't help but thing. 'Or Billy.'
Martin on the other hand.
"Hey Billy!" Martin called. "Wanna have a round of Buttkick Kong?"
"Martin, you better start unpacking!" Billy retorted, putting some of his clothes away. "And help me too! The B. S. 1000 is acting up today!"
"Well, get out of it, then," Martin said, turning to his roommate. "Who's gonna see you here?"
"Good point, but my real hands are too small for these," Billy held up his hands. "I think I need it now."
Martin groaned and put his video games down before heading over to his luggage.
"How are we supposed to live in this cramped space?!" Martin complained. "The dorms in Torrington were much bigger!"
"I have to agree with you, Marty," Billy admitted. "But this is one of the biggest suites."
"Yeah I heard Diana's suite is an actual shoebox, serve her right," Martin chuckled. "Anyway, what did you want help with again?"
They helped each other unpack and soon Martin was back in front of the tv, connecting his video game console to the television.
"Come on... come on!" Martin muttered, painstakingly trying to feel for the cable port behind the television. He somehow fitted it into a hole and turned the tv on. He sat down in front of it, grinning, and logged in. "It worked!" Martin exclaimed excitedly.
Billy got out of his human disguise and flew towards him in his hovercraft. He jumped off and joined Martin. He got a notification that one of his friends were online.
"Hey look!" Martin exclaimed, turning to Billy. "It's Alex!"
"And who is that?" Billy asked.
"The brunette we met at the elevator," Martin reminded. "I met her on my solo mission in the Alps."
"The one with the yetis?" Billy asked.
"Yep," Martin nodded. "I had to work alongside them. Hey that redhead was exactly like Diana!"
"I can tell," Billy agreed.
Just then, someone started pounding on the door.
Billy quickly retreated, hiding his hovercraft along with him. Martin went over to the door to check who it was. It was strange since it was technically night...
Martin opened the door to see...
Diana standing outside with a duffle bag.
"What's up, Di?" Martin asked, smirking at his sister. "Where's your dorm?"
"Yeah, about that..." Diana said, thinking of a way to explain. "My roommate apparently had another friend crashing at her place, every day. So it's definitely no place for me..."
"You can stay here, Di, I'm actually going back to The Centre after this, you can take my bed," Billy insisted. "Martin's gonna be alone here anyway."
"So much for private dormy," Martin sighed, annoyed. "I guess you can stay here..."
"Great, thanks Martin!" Diana said, putting her bags down on the bed. "Can you take the top deck? I prefer bottom."
"Yeah because you can't come down once you're up..." Martin snorted. "Remember when she was stuck at the top of a ladder?"
Billy started laughing with Martin. Billy's hovercraft started beeping.
"Oh my rides here," Billy said. "Catcha guys later!"
He opened the wardrobe and left the dorm room. Diana sat down on the beanbag to open her bag and get her nightclothes.
"Don't worry, Martin, you won't even know I'm here," Diana assured.
"Yeah, like that would last long," Martin rolled his eyes with a sigh, seating himself down on the couch. "I'll just sit here and play Buttkick Kong with Alex."
"Who's that?" Diana asked, confused.
"One of the girls you met at the elevator earlier," Martin said. "They said you were shy..."
"You know them?!" Diana asked, shocked. "But there too cool for you!"
"Worked with them on a mission once," Martin said proudly. "That girl with red hair is just like you. She'd probably be your best friend."
"Really?" Diana said, surprised. "What about that blonde one?"
"She... she's a total snob," Martin said, annoyed. "Kept calling me a geek."
"And right she was!" Diana said, laughing. "What about that brunette? That girl seemed pretty nice?"
"She's the one I'm playing with now," Martin motioned towards the television screen. "Come, I'll show you!"
Diana sat next to him while he started a match with Alex They both chose their respective characters and the round began.
Alex picked a character called Rosie Spiral and customised her to look exactly like her, complete with a spy suit.
"Hmm I must say, that character really looks like her..." Diana said. "Did she do something?"
"Customised," Martin explained. "This girl must've made a mod herself!"
And then Martin's character was displayed. Diana facepalmed.
It was someone named Deviro and Martin customised him to wear a...
Clown outfit for some reason.
"That blonde girl wasn't wrong, you really are a geek, Martin," Diana snorted. "Maybe this is why you're always single!"
Martin stuck his tongue out at her and started playing.
"Just watch, I'm gonna kick her butt!" Martin smirked, readying his controller.
Well, the exact opposite happened. Alex won.
"This can't be!" Martin dramatically exclaimed. "It's because of all the unpacking! My hands had gotten too sore!"
"Yeah whatever, go take a shower, Martin," Diana said, getting up. "You stink..."
"Hey, you stink too!" Martin exclaimed, pinching his nose. "You polluted the dorm with your stench!"
"Yeah, that's why I'm going too," Diana grabbed her towel and toiletries as she went to the door. "I suggest you do the same too."
Martin rolled his eyes, informed Alex that he was leaving, and followed Diana to the bathrooms. Diana met with a few other girls there.
