"So this is the Hidden Forest. Wait, how do we get out?" Guinevere realized after she saw that the sparkly entrance had disappeared.

"The entrance won't open until the magic words are repeated. But don't worry about that now; let's find your fiancé," Matthew explained.

"But where would the dragon keep Gibby in these woods?" Guinevere asked.

"I've heard that dragons usually live and keep everything that they capture in caves. So I believe that if we find the cave that this dragon lives in, we'll find the prince as well," Malina guessed. So their quest to find the dragon's cave began.

About half an hour of traveling without stopping later, the four travelers came to a fork in the road.

"Which way should we go?" Guinevere asked, unsure of which way to turn next.

The two boys closed their eyes and appeared to be listening for something.

"Do you hear anything?" Malina asked.

"I hear the beat of a dragon's wing flapping," Matthew and Jonathan answered at the same time.

"Great! Which way is it coming from?" Guinevere added, excited that they might be able to find her prince soon.

"To the right," Matthew responded.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's continue the adventure!" Malina exclaimed as she kicked her horse and had him go right.

...

"What's the plan for when we get to the lair of the dragon?" Guinevere asked a little later.

"I'll go up to the dragon and calm it down," Matthew said confidently.

"What if it doesn't?" Malina pointed out, a little concerned.

It seemed as though Matthew was going to say something, but before he could, there was a roar that sounded exactly like the one at the wedding!

"We're here! Get ready!" Matthew ordered.

"What do we do again?" Guinevere asked, not knowing the plan.

"Hide in the bushes and leave the fighting to me," Matthew responded.

"I truly hope that he knows what he's doing," Guinevere whispered as she, Malina, and their horses hid while Jonathan turned into a bush himself.

Matthew walked toward the dragon and said, "Don't worry, boy. It's just me, your buddy, Matthew."

"What does he mean by his 'buddy' Matthew?" the bush that was Jonathan questioned aloud.

"Maybe the two have met before," Malina guessed.

Unfortunately, by looking at the battlefield of Matthew and the dragon, it seemed as though the two weren't friends. As Matthew went closer to the dragon, it scratched him, leaving a significant cut that made Matthew fall to the ground!

"Matthew! Are you alright?" Malina screamed as she ran from her hiding spot while Jonathan turned into a dragon himself to fend off the beast.

"It's okay, Malina. It's just a small cut, and I'll be fine," Matthew explained, wanting to calm down his friend.

"No, you're losing too much blood. We need to do something to help you as soon as we can," Malina argued as she ripped off some of her dress to bandage the cut that Matthew had received. For what felt like hours later, Jonathan was able to send off the opponent dragon.

"What are we going to do with you?" Jonathan asked after turning back into a human and looking at the wounded Matthew.

"Nothing, I'm alright. Let's continue the adventure," Matthew replied. Luckily, there was a magical elixir in the dragon's lair used for Matthew's cut, and they could continue their journey.
