"Hm" Sunny simply responded, disappointingly, as Mari talked over and over about how Hero was so dreamy and stuff that Sunny doesn't really understand about. They were eating some bacon and toast on the dinner table and their mom was still in the kitchen cooking up some more food for them to pack for school.

She was always a strong-willed and hardworking woman and always came home late for work along with Sunny and Mari's dad. She sometimes forgets about her own health, physically and emotionally, to support and care for her two children and it's admirable at the same time concerning..

"And you know he has always had this charming smile... and everything about him.... Also... How was--" Mari was still talking but Sunny couldn't really care less and turned his mind somewhere else more peaceful. As he poked at his food, his mind was aimlessly wandering somewhere else while his body went autopilot, making it seem like he was listening to Mari.

His mind felt like a TV, changing constantly to what to remember or what to "see". He then stumbled upon a memory he is used to. Pretty mundane but enjoyable in a way...

It was showing a blonde, unkempt hair boy with a flower pin attached to his soft and fluffy looking hair. He was smiling softly at a flower bed near the canteen in the school. He elegantly stroked the beautiful petals of the tulips there. Sunny couldn't help but stare secretly in admiration..

Sunny noticed him while walking out the bustling canteen, filled with noisy students chatting away while eating their disgusting meals from school. While he was munching on his onigiri secretly (the seaweed made quite a lot of noise.. Thanks..), he silently watched him..

"Pretty.." Sunny thought as he took out his sketchbook after finishing the last bits of his food left. He lifted his pencil off the bench he was at and began sketching away while continuously glancing at Basil for reference.

He never really knew this feeling. He simply thought.. "It's just admiration...". Asking and Explaining to Mari about what has been happening is too embarrassing to be even considered a discussion between them.

He flipped through more than 20 pages both front and back of the page, filled with sketches of the pretty boy at the flower bed. Occasionally he would draw something different like flowers and landscapes but what he enjoys the most is drawing that boy.. It almost felt more like an addiction. Sunny would always want to find that boy around school. Sunny would occasionally glance at the blonde boy from the back of the class since they go to the same classes and have the same schedule and it became easier since no one seems to notice or ignore the quiet kid in class, that is Sunny. This became so natural real quick in a way. He made notes on where he went the most. It sort of felt more like a hobby.. And obsession to be precise..

He later found out that his name was "Basil"..

"Basil.. A cute name.." Sunny thought as he felt his cheek grow redder by the second. He couldn't help but keep thinking of the name.

Sunny suddenly jolted at the sudden physical contact.

"You ok, Sunny? You looked like you were thinking about something" Mari said with a warm grin yet slightly concerned tone. Sunny nodded and stood up to grab his backpack along with a piece of bread he forgot to eat. Mari quickly grabbed her purple and black backpack as well and took both their lunchbox and handed Sunny his with a warm smile. Mari has always been the best..

"Let's go, little bro! Don't wanna be late, right?" Mari said happily before grabbing Sunny empty hand and went out the door while waving to their mother.
