"𝐎𝐤𝐚𝐲 𝐥𝐞𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 Garcia." Bellamy, one of the detectives leading the case, asked, they needed more people in the ten years or life pile. The question was who, "It says on her files she tried to get her boyfriend arrested for domestic abuse." Michaelson read out, Diaz was already under the life section and Taystee under ten years. At least three inmates needed to be placed under ten years, two for life. All they had to do was figure out which was what, and the other charges.

"What's that got to do with anything?" Bellamy asked feeling the pressure from his boss. "Her original conviction was for aggravated assault with a weapon, she took the plea plus made a deal to keep herself out of Maximum security. That's some backstory." Nguyen answered as Michaelson ate his grotesque couscous.

"From the statements from the CO's it appears she did have some involvement of the riot. She was known to have clearly been handing out contraband and officer Dixon proclaimed she also berated them and searched one of the hostages." Bellamy explained. "Maybe she got swept up in riot fever." Michaelson shrugged.

"Or maybe she's more dangerous that we think..." Nguyen chimed in as Bellamy moved her into the 10+ box. "We'll see how her interview goes then..." Bellamy spoke.

"𝐒𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐈 𝐠𝐞𝐭 like a coffee first or something?" I wondered to Copeland who was taking me towards the interviewing room. "You get the right to speak to your lawyer first, choose whether you want the help inmate." She began to say. "Life can't get any shittier." I smirked sarcasm lacing my voice.  "Take a page out of a self help book I read, taking five deep breaths a day helps a lot more than you think." Copeland advised me as I followed her (not that I had a choice).

"I prefer God." I replied with a huff. "You've got  ten minutes." She spoke clasping the cuffs off me and letting me go inside to see my step father. "Hola, Roberto!" I shouted, hugging him. "Hola, Mihja." He smiled. "That's enough!" The CO warned as I listened to her, sitting in my seat as did my step father.

"So what's the shit gonna be huh?" I wondered. "Talk to me, tell me in your view and your words what happened." Roberto asked as I thought carefully about my options. One could be to tell the truth by admitting  my crimes and owning up to them like I previously said and spend more time away from Santiago. Or I could lie for the first time in my life, well the first time to a cop and get a shorter sentence because Gloria and Maria can back up my lies.
