Unknown POV
Everyone has heard the legend of the pure wolf whose fur was white like fresh fallen snow. I for one am not sure if I believe such legends. However, if the legend was true what would happen to the balance in the supernatural world? I couldn't help but ponder over such things. What if the pure wolf was a threat to everything, we all worked so hard for? The only problem is no one knows if it is truly real. The last known pure wolf that was white like fresh fallen snow was killed along with her parents. Somehow, I think that could be far from the truth. I flipped through the pages of a book that had each werewolf known in existence. The only ones the council really find important are the Alphas and Lunas of each pack. I read over the names glancing at a pack that I knew had a tragic loss recently. I walk over to the bookcase containing each file of each pack. I put the book I was currently holding down on a table next to me. I look at the books in front of me finally picking up the book with the pack name The Jade Wolf Pack. As I pick the book up, I open to the newest entry to find that the council had found the newest white wolf in existence. "What are you doing in here?" I heard a voice call from the doorway.
I hadn't even heard or noticed anyone else had entered the room. I set the book down on top of the other book looking towards the door to see my mentor who was standing in the doorway. I bow showing my respect shaking my head. "I was just doing some light reading Trinity," I told her truthfully.
She walks towards me her brown hair was done up in a way she had done for a meeting. She looks down at the book I had sat down next to me. She looks at me with her brown eyes almost scolding like. "Why were you reading about the Jade Wolf pack?" She questioned me.
I shake my head in response looking up to meet her gaze. "I was merely curious. I had heard they had an attack on their pack recently. Is it true they had a member whose wolf looked just like the legend told?" I asked her curiously.
She shakes her head in response closing the book she puts it back on the shelf along with the other book I had been reading. "It is best you don't go looking into the legends. You could find yourself getting into more trouble if you do," she answered avoiding my question.
Once I realized she was dressed in a nice dress like you would for a business meeting it occurred to me that she was getting ready for a meeting. "They are gathering soon, aren't they?" I asked looking down at my hands.
My mentor just nods in reply turning her back to me. "You should join the other trainees for training until the other council members and I are done," she said flatly walking away.
I couldn't help but feel like this meeting was actually an important one. I decided I wanted to hear for myself what it was about. Once my mentor left the room and I knew she was halfway to the meeting room. I head for my usual spot I went to listen in on meetings involving the council. Once I got to the usual spot, I saw two familiar faces. I wasn't the only one who would use it two other trainees also were curious about what happened inside those meetings. The two trainees look up to me nodding their heads. I nod my head in reply. I could see the werewolf council members were already present along with the vampire council members. I noticed that each supernatural council member was present for this meeting. What could they be talking about this time? I really wanted to know what was so important to gather all the council members. Not just any normal meeting could gather all the heads of each supernatural species of the council here. It had to be something extremely important. I watch everyone sat down in their chairs. However, Thomas who was head of the vampire council remained standing. "Let me just start by welcoming everyone. This meeting was called in regard to the white wolf. I will let council member Frank continue," Thomas explained.
I watch Thomas sit down as Frank stood looking over everyone. Everyone knew each supernatural species hated being in the same room with one another. However, the council was an exception they had grown to understand one another. "Thank you, Thomas, as all of you may know there was a sighting of the white wolf. The Blood Moon pack has sworn to me that the white wolf has been eliminated. However, I find that to be untrue since they didn't do it themselves. It seems they hired rogues to take care of the job. It has been brought to my attention the rogues had managed to kill two pure wolves. Their names were Victoria and Louis. The two pure wolves who had managed to disappear for ten years. I would like to know the councils opinion on where we should go from here," he explained.
He takes his seat as each of the council members look to one another. No one wanted to speak first it had seemed like until my mentor Trinity stood. "Well, if the council believes the white wolf is still alive let's go to the source and find out for ourselves if the wolf is truly dead. I doubt Alpha Grant would hide a body of the wolf," she stated.
All the council members look at her some nodding in agreement some looked like they wanted no part of this. I watch as one of the demon council members stood, I remember her name be Phoebe. "Well, that is an idea Trinity, but may I remind you the council can't just appear at a werewolf pack house with no real reason attached. There is no proof to back up the accusations it would be nearly impossible if the accusations were false. If the wolf was never there and just the two pure wolves that were murdered, were it would just mean the Blood Moon pack was trying to collect a reward that was never theirs to collect," she explained.
I watch as Frank stood again looking over the two as they both sit back down. "If Phoebe is right about the false accusations, then there is such a penalty that must be given to Blood Moon pack. If they can't back up their accusations, then the council would need to punish such a pack. However, if the accusations are true the white wolf is merely a child not much of a threat stands right now," he interjected.
Hailey growls at Frank as she stood slamming her hands on the table narrowing her eyes at Frank. "Child or not Frank she will not stay a child forever. If we don't act now that child will pose a threat later on. We should eliminate the child now," she growled.
I could see Frank's expression turn cold as he glares at Hailey's outburst. No one knew anything about the white wolf. However, it seems the werewolves know more than they were willing to let on. Hailey and Frank were not pure wolves and so a pure wolf had power over them. By werewolf code a pure wolf had power over every werewolf except another pure wolf. So even if they wanted to go against a pure wolf, it was next to impossible. It had to be another supernatural species to end the wolf's life. The tension in the council room was thick. Thomas stood from his seat and looks at Frank and Hailey. "Is there something you wish to tell the rest of the council?" Thomas questioned them.
Frank let out a sigh looking at Hailey still glaring at her before he nods taking his seat. Hailey turns to Thomas letting out a sigh. I could tell she was calming and fighting her wolf at the same time. "The pure white wolf is real. We felt her presence the day she shifted. No werewolf could ever ignore the power that came from her shift. Frank and I had gone to investigate the day she shifted. We saw her she was merely a child no older than seven. A pure wolf can shift at the age of seven. However, normally you don't feel the power like you can with the white wolf. I could already feel the soul residing inside her. This means the soul had already been transferred long before the girl shifted. We couldn't tell whose soul it could be," she explained.
Everything Hailey mentioned I had read about in the book about the white wolf. The white wolf is extremely powerful wolf. However, a soul attached to her could also kill her if not removed by a certain time. I watch Thomas look at her before sighing and sitting down. "If the soul is already residing inside her. She is already as good as dead especially if it isn't removed in time," he stated.
They really weren't going to do anything about it they saw no need too. What if they were wrong what if she did get it removed in time? I wasn't going to stick around to the end of the meeting. I quickly make my way out of the room and back towards the library. I wanted to read more and wanted to know more. I had to learn all I could about this white wolf.
