I'm very happy with how this pic of Professor Tadhe turned out, even though I don't get the detail I want out of Procreate.

In the morning, MuYang Ren and Headmaster Ndu went to Professor Tadhe's office. Professor Tadhe was so startled by the two of them that he knocked the potted shamrock off his desk. With his foot, he pushed the broken, fractured mess behind the drawers.

MuYang Ren took a seat while Headmaster Ndu said, "I want you to approve WuguLang for wand use and certify him competent in basic West magic techniques."

"WuguLang is having difficulties in that area," Professor Tadhe said, sitting on the corner of his desk. It had only been a couple of days, but Professor Tadhe was disappointed that an obvious prodigy didn't automatically master the wand. B'alam Quitze's bragging only made Professor Tadhe feel worse. "It's like he's afraid of it."

"He's afraid his demon identity will be revealed."

"What?" Professor Tadhe shrieked. "Headmaster, you're allowing a demon on our campus?"

"I am. For now," Headmaster Ndu said. He folded his hands in one another. "As you can imagine, secrecy regarding WuguLang's identity is crucial."

"The two of you have been breaking your vows, sniffing some strange herbs." Professor Tadhe lifted his pointed nose in the air. Only Mogui had a more impressive nose. "If MuYang Ren has coerced you in some way—"

"This is my choice," Headmaster Ndu said. "I am aware of my decision. MuYang Ren and I agree that South House should not be alerted."

Professor Tadhe's voice was nasally. "I can't imagine why not."

"South House, B'alam Quitze, would object to a demon on campus."

"And he should," Professor Tadhe said, folding his arms across his chest. "Demons killed his whole family during the war." He left out his own losses.

"WuguLang isn't to blame for the Demon-Sect War."

MuYang Ren didn't flinch when Headmaster Ndu said that. He waved his youduya fan calmly.

Headmaster Ndu began listing who was informed about WuguLang's situation. Professor Tadhe gnawed at his thumbnail. The habit was so ingrained that the nail had a permanent warp and a brown pool of blood dotted the bed of the nail.

Headmaster Ndu said, "XiangWang is perfectly aware of who his husband is and he entered the marriage with open eyes."

"A sixteen year old entering a marriage with open eyes," Professor Tadhe scoffed.

"You had a daughter once," MuYang Ren said, lazily moving the fan. "How old would she be today?"

Professor Tadhe showed his teeth at that. "I'm telling my wife."
