I wake up, properly this time. What on earth happened? Leanne's already up, sorting out her clothes. Then the thought strucks me, I had another nightmare. At least I didn't faint and wake up screaming. But I don't understand, howcomes the boy wasn't in my dream this time? And why was there a girl that looked just like me? I probably just made her up. This dream was so emotional, so terrifying, so real...."Come on, sleepyhead! I didn't want to wake you up because you've probably just fallen asleep," Leanne laughs. "How was Final Destination? What movie did you get up to?" "4," I answer, still half asleep. "Whoah, you really are a nerd! I like that." She smiles. "How long have you been up for?" I ask. "About 20 mins." We stare at each other. "Well come on! Are you going to get ready or not?" Leanne says. I nod slowly, stretch out, and open my bag. I take out my clothes, toiletries, and purse. I walk to the bathroom, and put on some shorts and tights, an across-the-shoulder black top and some pearl earrings. I brush my teeth, and then take out my plait and brush my hair gently. Then I walk out of the bathroom, and sit on my bed. Without Leanne telling me to, I take out my makeup bag and my mini mirror. I apply some dark blue glittery eyeliner, light blue eye-shadow, black mascara and a red lip crayon. I surprisingly look nice. The eyeliner and eye-shadow make my eyes the main feature if my face, and the lip crayon suits me. Leanne stares at me, as if she doesn't know me. "Whoah, you look...stunning. I thought you didn't like makeup!" She laughs. "Well, I thought I'd put it on before you nag me to," I laugh along with her. "Really, you look impressive. I like you're eyes, and lips, and how you've left your skin natural." "Ogghhh, that's the nicest thing you've ever said to me!" We giggle. Leanne's wearing some leggings and a bright purple lace top, with black eyeliner, purple eye-shadow and red lip gloss. Her skin's looking natural too- different from her normal orange glow. "Come on, let's have breakfast; pancakes, lemon, strawberries and cream!" I run, following her down the stairs. I'm not sure whether pancakes with strawberries, lemon and cream will work, but it's what you'd expect in this family.
. . . .
The bus pulls in. We've been waiting here for almost 20 minutes! We got at the bus stop about 5 minutes before it was meant to arrive, but it was 15 minutes late. We ran here, (thinking we would miss it), for nothing. The agony from my stitch still aches in my stomach. "Hello love, what can I get you?" aks the elderly bus keeper. "Egh- Two return tickets to Lindsdale Shopping Square please- we're paying sperate," I reply. I hand over £2 and receive my ticket. I wait for Leanne and get the front row of seats on the higher deck. "I like that bus driver," Leanne whispers. "Yeah, he's the nicest bus driver I've met. Most of them just grunt and nod," I whisper back. "No, I mean yes. But I think I'm really into him!" We both giggle.
. . . .
The journey was only 10 minutes long. To be honest, we could of easily walked there. We might of even beaten the bus! We stand in front of the shopping centre. No matter how many times I come here, the size of the building never fails to amaze me. It's so wide that it's hard to see either end of it. It towers above me; 4 floors high. After staring at it for what seems minutes, we enter the centre. The ground floor is where all of the cafes, fast food stops and mini supply shops are that connects to the train station. There's a big round looking indoor courtyard on either sound of the ground floor, with a wide hallway connecting them. We head up the escalator and approach the 2nd floor. We can go to a cafe later. On the 2nd floor there's lots of restaurants and shops that are on the other 2 floors. This is where Leanne turns into a maniac. "Oh my gosh, where should we start?!"Leanne shouts. "Why don't we go to..." But Leanne has already dragged me into River Island. She spends 15 minutes in there, looking for clothes that don't suit my taste but are high in fashion. I did see a turquoise silk dress that I liked but it was priced at £25.99. What did I expect- River Island is never that cheap. Seem as though I've only got £30 to spend, (including my money for food), and I've just started shopping, I should take a look around in other shops before I buy something expensive that I might regret buying. We then move onto New Look, (only spending 5 minutes in Next because they don't have that much of a teens selection), and I actually buy something for once. I find some nice high wooden-wedged white sandals on offer for £7.99. They look really nice and sweet. They're shoes that I can wear on special occasions or if I'm going out with my friends. Leanne buys some red ones. That's a start; Leanne likes my taste in what I've bought. Maybe I do have a bit of fashion sense. Then we go to Primark. The Primark here's 3 floors high, with the 1st floor the lady's section, the 2nd floor the shoes and accessories section and the 3rd the mens section. Wow. Primark's one of my favourite clothes shop because it's cheap but nice at the same time. They have lots of choice. We spend about an hour in here- it's that big! I buy a navy blue down-to-the-knees playsuit for only £7.99, a turquoise low sleeved cardigan for £4.99, a teal scarf with elegant butterflies on for £3.99 and 2 casual tops to run around in for £1.50 each. I could of bought every single item in there if I had enough. Woah, I spent up really quickly. I've just realised that I've only got a few pounds left for lunch. We'll have to go to McDonald's then.
. . . .
Thanks to Leanne, I have an extra £2 pound for lunch. Leanne only has £4 left for her lunch too, so we're equal. I order a medium coke, medium fries and a BLT burger. Yum yum! We eat, take a few photos, and have a good chat. "You got some nice clothes today," Leanne says. "I especially like those wedge sandals and that playsuit, it will suit you." "Ohh, thanks. I like your black clutch bag and red silk dress, it goes with your shoes," I smile. "I bite a mouthful into my burger and eat a few fries. "So, are you looking forward to college?" Leanne asks. "Yeah, I'm a bit nervous though, but I'm more sad than nervous. I'll miss you." "I'll miss you more," she replies. "I'll miss you most," I say, laughing. I grab some fries. "We have a surprise for you tonight. We're going out somewhere for tea," Leanne tells me. "Not another surprise, " I giggle, "You know, I'm getting tired of all these surprises," I sigh. "Oww, 'cause I can easily get my dad to cancel our table," she smiles. "On no, I wouldn't want to give you any hassle." We laugh. I take another bite out of my burger. "Well anyway, if you want, mum wouldn't mind washing and drying our new clothes if you want to wear them for tonight," Leanne smiles. "If it's not any trouble- I'd like to try on my new clothes. Are you wearing yours too?" I ask. "Yeah, probably. So, do you know anything about Windslodge College- like the dormitories and lessons and stuff?"She asks. "Not much, but mum said that I'll get a guide and a map when I get there. Apparently everything's quite close together, so it won't take long to get to lessons and the canteen. I'll text- email you all about it when I get there." "Do you know your roomate yet?" "Nope, neither if it's a male or female. But for the best college in Scotland, it's probably a female. I doubt the college will want any trouble." We laugh. I eat more fries and sip my coke."So, what subjects are you taking?"She asks. "Emm...Math, English, 3 Sciences, Geology, Physical Education and Modern Studies. I don't exactly know what I want to be yet, but I think I'm heading in the direction of being a P.E teacher or Astronomist/Geologist," I answer. "Cool, you've got a lot on your mind then. You'd make a great P.E teacher!" We laugh, both remembering our time in High School. I used to always be well ahead of everyone else; always winning races. Everyone told me I was practically born to be in the P.E business. "Yeah, what about you? What do you want to be?" "An air hostess, you know, traveling the world in air." Leanne asks. "Oh, you'd be good at that. That sounds like a good job. I just, get a bit nervous on planes," I reply. "Yeah, but at least if I crash when I'm on one I'll die pretty," she laughs. I hope I die remembered.
