If sitting were a sport, In Guk would probably make a terrible athlete. He would likely go down in history as the boy who only needed to keep still to win a gold medal but lost his chance because he just couldn't help doing that little dance where he would clap his hands from side to side. He was never really good at sitting down doing nothing, which was why even when his lip color needed touching up, he couldn't help being chatty.
Imagine his struggle when he was asked to sit still and yes, quietly. How Bo Young had to be specific with that instruction was both funny and admittedly concerning at the same time. And now she was starting to think that this might just be a terrible idea.
"Ya, keep still. And for goodness sake, don't say anything. I'm warning you," Bo Young glared at the goofball who was sitting on a wingback chair just across the room, yet still at a dangerously short distance from the table on which her laptop sat.
In response, said goofball only nodded with a playful smile, his eyes practically disappeared into tiny little chinks.
Satisfied with his acknowledgment of her infamous death stare, she then turned back to her laptop. She made a few clicks on the wireless mouse to turn the camera on and waited for her face to appear on the small window. After which she clicked on the bracket icon and her eyes rounded at the sight of her own face staring back at her in fullscreen.
It was no secret that a certain goofball was overly fond of her surprised face, especially the way her eyes would turn into that of an owl when stunned.
And so when In Guk barely stifled his giggling as he covered his mouth with both hands while shuffling in his seat across the room, Bo Young could hardly keep a straight face herself. So she rolled her eyes instead as she could not even scowl at him properly.
"Mhiane," he mouthed then gestured a kiss with his pout.
How could she stay mad at him after that, if she was even mad at all?
So she straightened in her seat again to fix the angle that was showing on the screen. The sudden silence was making her even more anxious and she kept glancing at the goofball across the room, even when all she could find was his adoring gaze.
She then got herself ready to say her greetings and like the pro that she was, she started with a little waving of her hands paired with her most endearing smile.
"Anyeong," she greeted with unintentional aegyo. " It's been a while since I last greeted you, guys. I hope you're doing well."
While she was aware that looking away from the camera would make it obvious, she just could not help but glance at the goof ball across the room again. And as she expected, he was giving her that grin that was loaded with trouble, as soon as their eyes met.
"I love you, " he blurted from his seat.
Her eyes widened in panic upon hearing what he just blurted because if she heard it, she was sure that the mic had picked it up, too.
