Croffle

Some people love mornings and getting up before the sun even flutters up in the sky. They love to bask in the early sunshine, wrapping themselves in its warmth to jump start their day. Someone like that is called a morning person.

But then there are some who despise getting out of bed so early in the morning. Those who wage wars against alarm clocks that set off before the first light. Someone like that is called—

"Human. I'm a human being. So I'm usually glued to my bed if the sun isn't even up yet when I don't have work," InGuk riposted jokingly while he stared at his phone screen, gazing at the love of his life in her white pajama top.

It was almost midnight, yet here he was, planning a breakfast date with this morning person he called his soulmate

It was almost midnight, yet here he was, planning a breakfast date with this morning person he called his soulmate.

"So you're saying I'm not human?" Bo Young retorted with a playful squint.

"Hwa. You mean, all this time, you were human? I thought you were an angel because you're so unbelievably pretty," he defended with a dramatically shocked expression.

"Ya, stop changing the subject. It's either four am or we can't go," she rolled her eyes.

"Mhiane. Okay, four am."

"Just so we're clear, it's 'get there by four, not 'wake up at four."

In Guk failed to stifle a chortle at how she had to clarify that.

"Algesseo. I know you can't wait to see me," he joked and it made her giggle.

"Oppa, I know you can't function with less than four hours of sleep. Let's go to bed now."

"You say that like we're in the same room and we're going to sleep in the same bed," he pursed his lips, sulking at the reality that they weren't together at the moment.

"Jalja," she bid him a virtual goodbye with an unsuccessful eye roll and a flustered chuckle before she hung up.

In Guk continued sulking alone in his bed, staring at the empty space beside him that even when occupied by Bo Young's petite frame, would still have enough room for another person. Because that's how closely he would hold her to himself if she were next to him right now.
