"Please do not open the test booklet until you are instructed to do so," Mr Simon stated and everyone's heads turned to Stiles.
However, I kept my eyes down on the pencil I was nervously bouncing back and forth.
Surprisingly it wasn't because of the test. It was because I had no idea how I was gonna cope with Stiles now hating me.
"This test is two hours and 10 minutes. There will be two 25-minute critical reading sections, two 25-minute math sections and an essay writing portion that will last 30 minutes," He instructed and then turned to Lydia Mom. "There are supposed to be two teachers monitoring this exam."
"I know. It's Coach. He's not exactly punctual. Um, let me just try him again," Ms. Martin excused herself and we all waited in silence.
I felt Scott and Kira's eyes on me but I didn't bother looking up. Highschool. Three more days. And then I get to go live in my fantasy with Isaac Lahey.
"I can't find him," she stated as she walked in. "But Mr. Yukimura is upstairs grading papers. Do you want me to try him?"
"We have to start," he objected. "We can ask for his assistance during the first break. You may now open your test booklets and begin."
I opened the booklet and stared down at the questions. As soon as I did my headache from the hangover became worse.
I may have failed at everything since I came back but school wasn't gonna be one of them.
I placed one hand on my head and began shading in the answers. I looked around at everyone who looked like they were speeding through their questions and I sighed hugging myself.
Did no one else feel cold?
I watched as Malia took her jacket off and I stared down at my hands. I'm the only one freezing.
I rubbed my arm trying to get some heat out of myself while answering more questions but nothing was working.
Something was going on and it was not just a lousy hangover.
That's when there was a huge thud and my eyes snapped over to a girl that had just fallen on the ground.
"Sydney!" Ms. Martin worried and rushed over helping her up to her feet. "Are you alright?"
"I'm okay," she nodded. "I just got kind of dizzy."
"Sydney, how long have you had this?" Ms Martin asked and I tried moving my head to see what she sounded so alarmed about.
"I don't know," she stared down at her hand like she's never seen it.
I turned back to my paper as everyone stared at the two. They could lose their own time but I'm planning on passing.
"Ms. Martin, do I need to stop the test?" Mr. Simon asked standing up from his seat.
God no. I am doing this test. Please for the love of God women let me finish this test.
"No, um, it's fine. Everybody stay in your seats. I'll, um, be back in a minute," she said shakily and looked back at Sydney before almost exiting the room.
Everyone let out a groan and I carried on racing through the questions.
"Nobody leaves the room."
Everyone stared at one another and there was muttering around the classroom. I kept my eyes down on the paper racing through the test.
I'm passing this.
"Everyone stay calm now, we wouldn't want to cause a panic," Mr. Simon said. Him being the only calm one.
