"Woah." Once everything was semi-settled I stared out into the gates window at the temple.
"You've never seen this place?" Liam asked as if he wasn't just trying to rip my throat out a second ago.
"No. She hasn't, Skyler was in France when we first came here to save Derek," Stiles answered for me. "She was living her life while we were risking ours."
I purposefully heated my body and a small gasp came from Stiles as he moved his hands away from my bare arms.
"You know what I was doing in France while you were risking your life to save Derek Hale?" I sent him a pointed look and then put on a cocky grin. "Learning how to do that." I flashed my orange eyes at him.
I couldn't figure out what he was thinking but I decided to imagine it was something on the positive end.
"I can't believe I did it," Liam scoffed as the van came to a stop. "For a minute there, I thought I was gonna tear the two of you apart."
"Yeah. That would've made for an awkward ride home. So, thanks," sarcasm seeped through Stiles's voice and I gave Liam a thumbs up.
Wait a second. I'm still on Stiles's lap. Do I move? Shall I say something? He has a girlfriend you idiot and you're trying to get on good terms with both of them so move!
But I don't want to. It feels nice belonging near him again.
Oh my god, what if my Isaac smile has just been Stiles in denial for my feelings for him?! Nah.
"Think you can bring the same level of control and strength inside La Iglesia?" Derek interrupted my thoughts.
Liam brought his hand out flinging out his claws. Damn, reminds me of a move a beta once pulled. A beta I apparently smile for.
I shifted into the space next to Stiles as Derek perched himself next to Liam. I began getting my weapons ready and played around with my ring daggers earning impressed looks from the three guys.
Yeah, I still got it. I grabbed my gun from its holder that was tied to my waist and reloaded each bullet.
"All right. We might actually be able to do this," Stiles said as he watched me.
"Hell yeah we will," I muttered putting my gun back in its holder.
Derek reached over to open one of the van doors but a roar came from outside. He was immediately flung out and I didn't hesitate to run after him.
"Skyler wait!" Stiles grabbed onto my hand but I forced it out of his grip jumping out.
Derek had just been impaled by one of the large bones on a Berserkers' hand. That was one big berserker.
The sound of Braden's shotgun immediately echoed and I grabbed my gun out shooting it. She threw another shotgun in my direction and I immediately assisted in killing the bone freak.
We shot him enough to make him run away and that's when everyone gathered around Derek. Braden knelt to him and he sat there with blood staining his shirt and the corner of his mouth.
Lydia showed up to Derek's loft to warn him. Banshees only predict death but not Dereks right? He's not dying. He's Derek Hale. There is no way in hell Derek Hale is dying.
"How bad is it?" Peter Hale asked with a tone of actual concern.
"I'm fine, I'm fine," Derek grunted in pain. He is not fine.
"You are not fine," I said slightly crouching.
"Skyler I'm fine," he assured. He didn't look or sound it. "Just get to Scott. Just find him. We'll be right behind you."
