"Trin I'd risk it all for some salmon." NaNa stressed, "That shit look so good."

"Ho's cryin' over salmon but get their own personal boil." Brea laughed.

"NaNa you better sit ya' ass down." I laughed, "Ain't nobody finna play wit' you."

"I just wanna try one time to see if it's hitting how y'all say it do." She peeked over my shoulder.

"No, I made you shrimp and crab legs to make up for it. I'm so sorry that you can only eat shellfish, I'll enjoy a salmon for you." I smiled, turning the pot of rice off.

I wasn't sure if everybody wanted to try the salmon alfredo I made, so I made homey garlic butter salmon and rice for whoever didn't. Since my good sis NaNa is allergic to salmon, I just made her a personal seafood boil pan.

"Here Trin, pops on the phone." Boogie passed me the phone.

"Hello—" I glanced at Boogie realizing it was my mama.

He didn't say anything back, he just smiled before walking back in the living room.

"Hey mama, how you?" I sighed

I have been ignoring her lately, I guess. It really wasn't intentional; I'm really not even sure as to why, I guess it just brung back too many memories that I didn't like.

"I'm better now, I miss you Trinity." She said anxiously, "I really do miss you both."

"I miss you too mama." I told her, as I started to make every one's plates.

"How has work been going?" She asked.

"Work is work, ya' know?" I shrugged, "Mama can I call you later tho? I just finished cooking."

"Oh yeah, you got it." She said, and I could hear she was a little sad, "I love you, tell your brother I said I love him too."

"Ok, I love you more mama. I'll try to come see you soon." I told her, before I hung up.

"Here Boogie. She said she love you." I called out, sitting Brea's plate in front of her.

"Ooh friend, I love you." Brea smiled, "NaNa can I get a scrimp?"

"Only if I can get a piece of yo salmon." She attempted to whisper.

"Hoe no," Brea smacked her lips, "Want a noodle?"

"Brea no it touched the salmon." I smacked my lips, making Boogie a plate.

"You better stop doing my mama like that T." Boogie walked back in the kitchen.

"Tristan take yo plate and mind yo business." I sighed.

I attempted to start making my plate, and heard knocking at the door.

We got a whole doorbell, and illiterates still choose to knock on the door.

Boogie mugged me, and walked away going to get the door. Not too long after, he walked back in the kitchen with Von and Kani behind him. Boogie grabbed his plate, and walked back in the living room.

"Food look good." Kani walked over, and bent down kissing my cheek.

"Thank you, hungry?" I looked up, cutting me up some lemons.

"Hold on, I'a be back." He said, before walking in the living room.

"Hello family and my lil gremlin." Von said, and pinched NaNa cheeks.
