Chapter 46: Weariness

(After getting the answers in Mt. Brazil, the team heads back to the Mushroom Kingdom & starts training [minus SMG4]. All that changed in August, however...)

Jotar: Kirby, i think something sus' heading to the atmosphere.

Kirby: Can you zoom in closer?

Jotar: (proceeds examining the pod heading towards Earth) Have you seen anything like this?

Kirby: One, during one of my early days on this planet.

Jotar: Should we interfere?

Kirby: Negative. If that contained someone who'll wipe out this world, then we'll interfere.

(the pod then crashed, just as 0 planned it)

~August 20~

Kel: What seemed to be the problem here?

SMG4: Do you remember that red-eyed beast back at the cathedral?

Kel: Yes

Lo: No

Lucinia: What beast?

Mario: Well, it turns out its entire body's arrived in this castle.

Lo: Everyone, i think you should see this again.

(the gang then huddles onto Lo, on which he played news on his arm)

Kermit: Attention all citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom, a weird giant USB stick had arrived at Peach's Castle. After current speculation,

Meggy: 10 dollars say something with a nuke.

Kermit: it's claimed they'll nuke the thing tomorrow.

Meggy: (to Bo) Pay up. (Bo then reluctantly pays her)

Kermit: However, since it's highly potent, the citizens will need to evacuate to the nearest shelter. The only time adjusted to go out is by a hour after detonation.

Bo: How are we supposed to keep your house safe, Lo? I mean, i checked that the blast range will affect it too.

Lo: Leave it to me.

~August 21, Lo's house~

Lo: Hey Steve, how's that giant obsidian wall?

Steve: (finishes the wall & goes down) It's a f**kin' masterpiece!

(It's the day where they blow up Zero's USB using a nuke. The Mushroom Kingdom Army had forced people to take cover, & the gang splits for 2 safe zones. Team SMG4 took the underground bunker, while Lo's team added an obsidian wall to shield it from the explosion. Some of SMG4's other friends are here)

Kel: Good, now come in. I'm not sure how long it is until it explodes.

~Living Room~

(The Snitch Gang, Bowser, Jeeves, Shroomy, Luigi, & all others took refuge here)

Luigi: Hold up guys, i'mma get some board games for us to play?

Bowser: (hits Luigi) NO! It won't be long before that nuke hits!

King Pipe: Yeah, where would you be when it hits?

Luigi: I had to at least try! KP, make a pipe to Mario's house!

KP: Oh well, hope you got explosion insurance. (creates pipe)

Luigi: When i'm back, we oughta' play a game, alright! (hops into the pipe)

Kel: Hey, where's Luigi?

Bo: Oh, he's getting some board games. & it seemed a stupid idea.

Whisk: Yeah. Considering that we have videogames here!

Shroomy: All thanks to me for once being a videogame store clerk.

Lo: Kel, can you please come in for a second?

(Kel then follows him to the bathroom)

Kel: Ok now, what is it?

Lo: I know that this Zero thing's weird, but what i'm really worried is that my father's still alive.

Lucinia: Yeah, but they said he blew up with your planet.

Lo: My mother survived that explosion, so I assumed he'd still be alive.

(As Lucinia hears onto the conversation, some binary came out of the toilet)

Lucinia: Guys, you better take a look at this.

(As the 3 SMGs look onto the toilet, they're suddenly sucked in. The next thing they remembered is that they're in...)

~The Backrooms~

Kel: What in the??? Lo, where exactly are we?

Lo: I don't know, but this is something we need to discover ourselves.

(As they wandered around, they been through the same rooms Mario & SMG4 are in. But later on, they heard someone from afar)

???: I wished that bomb would blow up by now.

Lucinia: Wait, i recognized that voice.

(The trio then followed it & found Meggy, aka SMG55@19)

Lo: Meggy, what are you doing here?

Meggy: Well, while the gang's busy spiralling to madness, i needed to use the restroom. But all of a sudden-

Kel: Some binary code had appeared on the toilet & you're sucked in?

Meggy: Yeah, i don't know which way to go, actually.

Lucinia: Halt. I've detected some hostile life nearby.

Lo: Please. As if some guard here would-

(but then, Lo bumped onto the same beast the SMGs encountered)

Oh, that be the guard...

(the beast roared, prompting the four to flee. It took a while, but then they found an elevator to simply escape)

Lucinia: Whew. That was close.

Meggy: How could you feel that? You are simply communicating with us interversally.

Lucinia: oh

Lo: Where are we, exactly?

Kel: It seems like we're in... (the elevator doors open again as a familiar cathedral wall pokes out) The Dark Web.
