Faraway in the 14th floor, is a small balcony where nobody comes. I always come here to clear my mind and to see the sights but Ryan and Leslie don't know about it.
"Myra!" Ryan exclaimed.
"Where have you been? I've been looking all over for you! What are you doing here?" He said.
but they do now...
"I just wanted to get some fresh air" I said.
"You ran away liked you saw a ghost in there, are you alright?"Ryan asked with concern.
When I saw 'Mr.Stephen Harrison' in the auditorium,I almost thought that I was seeing his ghost that came back to haunt me but he was real.
"Yeah... I'm sorry about that,I just felt a little nauseous" I said.
"You're not Pregnant, are you?" He asked, widening his eyes.
"God Ryan! Of course not" I said quickly.
"Alright, just checking but right now I need you."He said, almost sounding desperate.
"Okay, what do you need?"I asked
"Mr.Harrison is having a meeting with the heads and the best performers of each department and I want to be at our best, I'm done with my meeting and now it's your turn."He said
"What! Right Now?"I said almost yelling at him.
Ryan was taken aback.
"I-I'm sorry Ryan,I didn't mean to sound like that but I don't think,I can sit through a meeting." especially with our boss.
"I know Myra, but I need you to just do this and then you can go home if you want but I need you to meet with him, the stake of the team lies in your hands."Ryan said desperately.
I felt bad for him, I didn't wanted to risk his position in the company just because I didn't wanted to face 'him' again after everything that's happened.
"Fine, I'll do it" I said trying to control my emotions.
"Thank you, now let's go" he said excitedly.*Knock Knock*
"Mr.Harrison?"Ryan said popping his head inside the office, I was standing behind him.
"Come in" he said. His voice hadn't changed at all, it had the same confidence and arrogance.
We both went inside the room.It was beautiful, it had a huge window on one of it's side, which let the sunlight in,there was dark brown wall at the end of the room with golden marble-like finishings, there were beautiful paintings on the other side of the room and in the front of the brown wall was a black table, where he sat.
He was wearing a classic black suit and no tie,he hated ties. His eyes fell on me and I swear I saw his face twitched a little.
"Ah,Ryan come in, come in"he said.
"Mr.Harrison, meet my department's best performer, Miss.Myra Pierce."
I smiled and he extended his hand to greet me, of course as I had no choice,I shook his hand.
"Pleasure to meet you"he said, convincing Ryan that we had never met before.
"Likewise"I said.
"Then I'll leave you to it,Mr.Harrison"Ryan said heading towards the door.
"Ryan"He called out.
"Yes?" Ryan Asked.
"Please call me Stephen"he said smiling and my blood boiled over the name.
"O-Of course Stephen" Ryan said awkwardly and left.Once Ryan left, I made sure no one was in our earshot.
"You have hell of a lot of guts keeping his name. The name of the man you killed. Our mentor."I said making sure to hit a nerve.
But as Kastor has always been,he rolled his eyes in a mocking way.
"Clearly, you still haven't moved on"he said frustrated.
"And clearly you still are the same cocky, arrogant son of bit*h you were" I said.
"Well..., aren't you a bit curious how I'm..." he pointed himself.
I rolled my eyes.
"Clearly you missed back then, you 'The Shadow' missed." He said mockingly. The Shadow, It had been so long since I heard the name.
I let out a small laugh, "I am not as surprised as you want me to be and I didn't missed, you have hell of a luck." I said, knowing well enough that it was not luck but rather my choice that he is alive today.
He smiled, his sly smiled brought back memories that were deep down in my heart.
"What are you doing here Kastor?" I asked, trying to remain as calm as possible.
"It feels good to hear my name from your mouth after all these years" he said smiling. He sat down in his chair "Isn't it clear enough, I'm the CEO of Obsidian Finance."he said, looking coyly into my eyes."Did you know that I worked here?"I asked.
"I did, the week after I took this position. They gave me the names of all the people working here. They highlighted the names of the best performers and I saw your name.I was kinda shocked though. You kept your name." He said.
"Well unlike you, I've got nothing to be ashamed of" I said.
He let out a small quiet laugh.
"I'm not ashamed" He said gritting his teeth. I knew I touched a nerve but it had to.
"After everything you've done?" I asked slyly.
"You know, I've gotten pretty tired of that sentence, 'After everything I did. And what about everything you did?" He said pointing a finger at me.
"Everything I did? I wouldn't have done anything if you would've just stayed with me, if you hadn't betrayed us!" I practically shouted at him but I remained calm as if even one word got out of this room, I would be in hell of a lot of trouble.
"Us? you talk like they are still alive, but they aren't. They took everything from us, our childhood, they made us into killers-"He took a deep breath trying to pull himself together.I couldn't stay quiet.
"You believe it or not but they were a family to me. They never treated us badly, they gave us everything we wanted-"
"And at what cost?"He asked cutting me off.
"But you wanted more. You always wanted more. You left. You left me alone and I had no choice." I kept on continuing.
"Choice?" He asked,shaking his head.
"Yes choice, you made yours and I made mine. You don't know what it's like to kill someone you loved. Oh! wait. You do" I said, my anger controlled by my fist.
"Get out of my office" He said plainly.
I let out a small knowing laugh.
"Of course. Classic Kastor. Always leaving things un-said." I said and headed towards the door.
"Myra" He said calmingly. I stopped in my tracks and looked back too face him.
"I'm not going anywhere this time" He said looking at me dead in the eye.
"Neither am I" I said, staring into the eyes of the man who was no longer my Kastor...
