Summary: In a canteen, a man gets too close to you, much to Din's disapproval.

You loved food. Food brought everyone together, with food you felt like you could do anything.

You loved watching the Little One eat, and even though you couldn't watch Din eat, you often found him locked in the cockpit, and you knew he was eating.

You loved cooking just as much. Seeing how Grogu loved your food more than any canteen food he could be offered brought you joy.

So, spending your evening in a canteen, eating food that barely tasted like anything, you felt offended. Din rather bring the baby here than let you cook.

In reality, his intention wasn't to hurt your feelings, he loved your cooking, it was that you needed to relax, you were so caught up cooking for the two and taking care of them that you didn't take time for yourself. So, Din thought that he would bring you here and have one evening when you don't have to cook.

And he also needed more information on a bounty he was hunting.

You let out a huff. The food wasn't that bad, but yours was certainly better. And you thought the Kid agreed too because he kept on babbling and looking at you whenever he took a bite of the soup.

"I know, should I get you some bread?" you asked the Child as you whipped his little mouth. You looked up and found the lady behind the counter. "I'll get some more bread for us." you told Din as you stood up and walked to the counter, Din's eyes followed you under the helmet. He watched as you walked to the lady and talked to her. Din then looked back at the kid, who yet again struggled with his food. Din helped the little one out.

"No, thank you." the Mandalorian heard your voice and he looked your way, now finding a man talking to you. You looked very uncomfortable.

But Din also saw that the man was not stopping. He tried to touch you and so, Din was just about to go to you and beat the man up.

Just before he could do that, you slapped the man across his face with such force the man fell backwards. "I said no." you told the now unconscious man before grabbing the bread and making your way back to Din.

You placed the bread down to Grogu and continued with your portion.

"That was impressive." you heard Din say.

"He was bothering me. And I needed to do something because if you were to come over, this whole canteen would be against us."

You got a point. Din only nodded.

Later that night, you already put the baby to sleep, as you were standing out on the balcony, enjoying the chilly weather.

You turned around and found Din standing behind you. You placed a hand on your chest.

"You scared me!"

"I'm sorry. I was just enjoying the view."

"You can just say that you were staring at my bottom, no need to lie, Din."

You smirked and turned back around. You could feel his gaze burning into you. You ended up getting bored so you moved back to Din and hugged him, putting your hands around his neck and you smiled when he put his arms around you. Although he had a full armour on, you still knew he was smiling.

"Can I kiss you?" you asked, you knew Din didn't like to remove his helmet if there was even the smallest chance someone could see him, but you really needed a kiss right now.

"Yes." he said it without hesitation, it made you suspicious for a second. But you didn't argue. You moved your hands and slowly started to lift the helmet.

And soon, you saw his smile.

"There you are." you said as you placed the helmet on a nearby table. "Hello Handsome."

"Hi." he whispered as he leaned down and kissed you.

It didn't take much from him to make you weak in the knees, but a kiss was something that melted you instantly. You'd think he had a lot of experience in kissing, although you knew that wasn't true.

He pulled away to breathe and placed his head on your shoulder, letting you play with his hair.

"I love you, Riduur."

"I love you too, Din."

Din had a burning love in him, something that could end words, galaxies even. He loved you and you loved him.

He didn't need anything else.
