Luke had decided to take me out on a date tonight as we hadn't been out in a while. He chose the restaurant we went to on our first ever date almost 2 years ago now. Best 2 years of my life if you ask me, I mean we've had our ups and downs but then what couple hasn't? But unlike other couples we worked through it, cause we love it each other.
We sat down at our table which was in the middle of the restaurant and I picked up my menu and started looking at my options. after a couple of seconds I felt someone's eyes on me and I looked up to see Luke staring me.
"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" I felt my cheeks heating up and he smiled slightly
"You just look so beautiful. I'm so damn lucky" He said his eyes never leaving mine and I was certain I was bright red now.
"It's been almost two years and I can still make you blush" he chuckled and I lightly kicked his leg under the table.

After we had our dinner we just sat we our glasses filled with wine and we talked quietly. There was a comfortable silence between us and I took a sip of my wine.
"Meg? You know I love you right?" He spoke and I looked at him with a confused expression
"Yeaaaa and I love you too Luke" I told him
"and you know I'd never hurt you on purpose?" My eyes started watering hoping to God this wasn't going where I thought it'd be going
"Luke.....are you breaking up with me? Is that why you took me out tonight?" My voice was trembling and I could feel the tears pooling in my eyes threatening to spill. Luke started to shake his head vigorously
"No no no no no no no at all" he put his finger through his hair tugging at it lightly "fuck this isn't going to plan let me try this again" he cleared his throat and looked me in the eyes
"Meg. I love you more than words can describe. You mean more than the world to me honestly, you have been here for me since we started dating and I can't believe that you're still here with the amount of times I've managed to fuck up. But I'm happy that you're still here and I'm great full that you have forgiven me for everything that I have done wrong and I can never thank you enough for that babe. You are my rock, okay? I know I get a bit.....angry sometimes when you talk to other guys that aren't me but it's because you're mine not anyone else's and I don't want to share you with anyone. I mean no one. you are all mine and I'm planning on keeping that way for a very long time" Tears were rolling down my eyes as Luke spoke these loving words to me and all air was almost knocked out of my lungs as he scraped his chair back and knelt in front of me with one knee. I gasped and put my hand over my mouth as he pulled out a box from his pocket and opened it to reveal the most gorgeous sparkling diamond ring I had ever seen.
"That is why I'm asking you, Megan Teresa Hayes if you would you do the honour and say yes to being my wife" He smiled widely as he awaited my answer
"Y-Yes" I managed to choke out before I pulled Luke up from his Knees and smashed my lips onto his kissing him passionately. I had been so caught up in the kiss I hadn't heard the people clapping around us until Luke pulled back and pulled the ring out of the box, took my hand and slowly pushed the beautiful engagement ring onto my finger. I pulled Luke into a hug and he kissed the side of my head before placing his hot lips next to my ear and whispering
"I'm going to fuck you so hard when we get home"
