"Summer! Doon tayo!" pag-aaya ni Yuki sa akin kasabay ng paghila niya sa akin sa terrace habang hawak-hawak ang isang bote ng cuervo.

"Bumalik na kaya tayo? Look at you, lasing ka na." sambit ko.

She smiled and shrugged her shoulders as she pointed at me.

"I'm not drunk," she replied, blinking her eyes as if trying to act as sober as possible.

Even though she was trying to convince me, I could smell the alcohol on her breath every time she talked, so I moved closer to her right away so I could properly guide her. Her eyes look heavy and wander around the area as her gaze floats around her surroundings, showing that she had a hard time focusing on things around us. Hindi ko alam kung bakit nagpapakalasing ito, kanina she looks so fine but something's off about her now.

I wanted to ask her about it, but I think it would be inappropriate to do that in this set-up since baka ako pa ang mahihirapan na ibalik siya sa hotel kapag nagwala ito nang wala sa oras. She managed to continue to smile and wave at people she saw along the way, and others greeted her as usual. Kasabay ng pagtugtog ng musika napasapo ako sa noo ko dahil sa pinanggagawa niya.

"Let's have some fun!" sigaw nito sabay inom kasabay ng pag-ubos niya sa bote ng cuervo niyang hawak.

Inilapag niya ito sa sahig kaya nilapitan ko naman ito kaagad para kunin para hindi niya ito ito mabasag. Bumalik ako sa lamesa na kung saan kami unang tumambay at mabuti na lang walang tao nakapag-occupy sa space namin kaya nilapag ko muna ang mga gamit namin dito habang tinitignan ko si Yuki. Napatawa na lamang ako nang muntik itong madulas dahil sa kakaikot-ikot niya kasama ng mga tao.

"Why are you alone?"

Napalingon ako sa likuran ko nang marinig ko ang tanong. As he moved past me to lean on the other side of the table, he flashed a wide smile on his face. I swallowed hard as the tension between us emerged. I can't stop thinking about what I just saw. It's not that it bothers me, but I'm simply curious whether he's utilizing the card he has to take advantage of me.

Since we continually bumped into each other, it's not impossible that he'll be pulling some pranks on me, based on what I observed.

"Hindi ako mag-isa 'no. Nagkataon lang na lasing lang kaibigan ko kaya hindi ako pwedeng malasing din kasi mahirap na." sagot ko.

Despite the thoughts running through my head, I managed to communicate with him. He scowled as he sipped from his drink and nodded as if he agreed with everything I said. As I secure Yuki with my gaze, silence surrounded us but along with the music, you'll hear the crashing of the waves, which adds to the sensuality of the atmosphere.

"Uminom ka ba?" he asked.

Napatingin kami sa kanya at saglit na napahinto para basahin ang bawat anggulo ng mukha niya. Umiling ako bilang sagot sa tanong niya.
