𝟗; 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭

The three best friends were talking and laughing while eating their food; A rice platter for Seonghwa, some steak and salad for Woo, and of course, chicken for Yeosang.

“So how’s work?” the oldest asked, “Well, it’s still the usual. Most of the customers were very very nice but some are just a bit rude.”

“Yeah, like the guy that tried to hit on you at the counter” Yeo said which Woo just replied to with an eye roll. “Oh and hyung remember that sweet couple that I told you about?” Hwa nodded, “They came by the other day with their son! The boy was also very sweet and very cute!! Right, Yeo?” Seonghwa smiled seeing that the two were doing fine.

“Yeah, hyung. That boy was so sweet even if he was just 3. He has manners and good attitude. He even helped pick up some napkins that fell on the floor.” Yeosang seconded.

“Awe, I would love to meet him!” Seonghwa said, imagining to meet a kid like that. “Oh you would. Soobin would love you too!” Woo said, knowing how his hyung love kids.
 
“Well anyways, you guys just got your first paycheck right?” the two just nodded, “How do you plan on spending it?” their hyung asked. “Honestly hyung, I haven’t really decided on anything yet.” Yeosang said with Woo nodding.

“But hyung for me maybe I’ll buy you something they Yeo will buy a shirt”

“Why would I?”

“Because of this!” Woo chuckled as he raised his glass attempting to splash Yeo’s shirt with water. Mind the word ‘attempted’. Before the youngest could give the chicken-loving man a public shower; the said man controlled the temperature of the liquid which turned it into ice.

“Ugh! That’s so unfair!” Woo said slamming the glass down the table then melting the ice turning it to liquid again. “Yah you too! What if someone saw you?!” Seonghwa frantically said before examining the room to see if anyone witnessed their quirk. He sighed when he saw that the coast was clear and punished them both.

“AH HYUNG! MY EYES!” both men quietly yelled when Seonghwa flashed their eyes with a very bright light. “AH! Are trying to blind us?” Yeo said as he glared at his hyung.

“YAH! Don’t glare at me like that young mister! I told you not to use your powers in public right?”

“But you just did!” Woo reasoned, “So? No one was looking; I checked before I did that.” Seonghwa argued. Completely unaware that two certain men were looking at the three of them with their eyes and mouths wide open, completely shocked.
 

“Jongho-ya, you saw that right?”

“Y-yeah hyung, I saw,”

“S-so, they’re also like us?” San still couldn’t believe it, “I just can’t wrap my mind around it.” He was shocked that the male he exchanged (texted’-‘) hi’s and hello’s with was also an ability-user like him and the same goes his best friend. Jongho couldn’t believe that the only man he liked and met in the bar was also an ability-user and an element manipulator at that. Jongho and San were still wide-eyed as they stared at the three males paying for their meal and exiting the restaurant.
 
 

“Ah that movie was nice!” Woo said while stretching his limbs going out of the movie theater, “I believe you should say it was a nice nap” Yeo argued. “Oh yeah? Says the one who slept through everything,”

“Okay now, stop fighting! You both were fast asleep as soon as it started.” Seonghwa said ending the dispute.

“Let’s just eat and walk home, hm?” and the two just sighed in defeat and agreed. They walked home stopping at a local convenience store to eat. “Hyung I’ll take ramen and rice, what’d you want?”

“I’ll take the same but with a sandwich and a donut!” shouted Hwa from the other aisle. “How ‘bout you, Yeo? What’d you take?”

“I’ll take whatever you’re having and a chicken roll please!” Yeo giddily requested and went to find a seat inside the store.
 
Hwa paid for the meals and microwaved the rice and let Wooyoung add hot water in the ramen cups. Yeosang remained at the table with the other foods. “Be careful! It’s hot!” Woo warned, “The rice too!” Seonghwa came and placed the rice on the table. They started eating their food while staring at the moon and the stars that decorates the dark night sky.

“I missed you guys…” Seonghwa then continued, “I always hoped that you guys wouldn’t grow and spare yourselves from the cruel world… I-I hoped that you guys would stay as the kids you were back when we all met – cause then you would still need me as your hyung. Stay dependent to me; cause then you would still need me and stay with me; cause then I wouldn’t be left alone…” the older started to tear up.

“Hyung…”

“But hey, I’m very proud of the man you both have become. You’re working and being responsible as adults, but you know… It’s just terrifying to wait for the day that you guys won’t need me anymore… I’m scared and worried knowing that you guys will eventually leave me…” he wiped his tears also scared he’d be a crying mess, “Wow… HAHA! I’m speaking like a mother not ready to set his sons free” he chuckled.
The kids looked at each other and Yeo started to speak, “But hyung… you are our mom.” And Woo nodded then spoke, “Yeah… and us graduating and have work won’t mean that we won’t need you anymore and leave you”

“And you have cared for us more than you have cared for yourself. You treated me and Woo like your own family and accepted us no matter what; especially when we ran away. You gave us – not just a house, but a home.” Yeo completed.

“You gave us the best life we could ever ask for, and you just being there with us every sleepless nights, every project making, and even ability training. And all that, without asking anything from us.” Woo added.

“And you know we wouldn’t leave you. Ever. What would we be without our mom, who’s been there every step of the way,” Yeo said, wiping away his mom’s tears away.

“And why would we leave you? Who would I bully then?” Woo joked to lighten up the mood. Hwa smiled at them, “I know and I love you guys. I just missed you too much.” “Aigoo! Mom is crying! Should I find a dad to make you happy then?” Woo joked again. “Yeah then hyung would be the one leaving us,” Yeosang fake pouted.

“And why would I leave my babies for a man? For all I care he can fuck himself and I would still baby you guys” Hwa said tickling the other two. “But hyung seriously, thank you… for everything.”

“We love you too!” Woo shouted. “I know you do,” he smiled, “let’s go home now?” the other two nodded and they walked home.
