This Time

3: Your touch

Jong Hoon woke up from another dream about Kang Mae and Ru Mi staring into each other's eyes during an orchestra concert.

His head hurt so bad. His phone suddenly rang.

Kang Sol A

Gyosunim, I'll be meeting your student later. You can come too.

As he was reading her message, his atmosphere changed. When he was thinking of his recurring dreams, he was worried and bothered. But now, he strangely felt some sort of comfort. He realized he was smiling.  "What am I feeling?" He remembered all those moments he smiled thinking of Sol. 'Ever since I met her again, I started to have even more dreams about that man who looked just like me and his lover.' He thought. "I have to put an end to all these." He decided to avoid her for him to stop having those dreams.

Later at around lunchtime, he was in his office doing his business.

Knock, knock

"Come in," he said in response. To his surprise, his former student who was the reason for him having even more weird dreams about Ru Mi and Mae was the one who came in.

"Gyosunim, Park Shin Wook, your student, is not cooperating. He wants you to defend him." She told him. "I need your help."

"That's your job as a lawyer and you have the pride to ask help from your former professor? You didn't learn anything from me. You should go to law school again." He replied coldly. He took the papers on his desk and continued doing his work.

"Gyosunim, you taught me that my clients' lives depend on me as a lawyer. So yes, I swallowed my pride because his life depends on me now." He pretended to look at the papers but when she left, he stopped what he was doing and was in deep thought after hearing those words from her.

-The next day (Saturday)-

Sol's study group and the other professors will be having a reunion today. The venue was at a restaurant with a pool. The prosecutor-turned-professor was the first to arrive there. He even brought his laptop to work there.

Sol then arrived and saw him on his laptop. "First quarter exams?" She read what he was typing. "Gyosunim, we're here to have a reunion and you're working?" He stared at her blankly, he looked as if he was going to scold her again.

"Joesonghamnida," Sol apologized and bowed.

She took two steps backwards. Little did she know that she was nearing the pool. She was going to fall. So he immediately got up to stop her. "Kang Sol A," he said.

But she was flustered when he started walking towards her. Her cheeks were so red and her heart was pounding. She took another step backwards. He took another step towards her. When Ru Mi jumped into the water and Kang Mae was there, she almost died. That dream of Jong Hoon seemed as if it was happening to them. She was about to take another step backwards and was about to fall when he suddenly grabbed her arm and pulled her to him.

Her hands landed on his chest as he was holding her elbows, supporting her from falling. There was an awkward gap between them. They were just staring into each other's eyes. It was as if they were having a conversation through their eyes. For a second, Jong Hoon saw Ru Mi in Sol.

"Who are you? Just who are you, really?" He broke the silence. "You're not just the Sol A I know, aren't you?"

That was when she lost her balance. So he pulled her even closer to him. This time, there was no distance between their bodies anymore.

'ETTEOKHAE?! WHY DOES THIS FEEL SO WARM? AND WHY DO I FEEL LIKE I'VE FELT THIS BEFORE?' Sol thought.

Their faces were so close that they could feel and hear each other's breaths. It was as if the whole world stopped. They both wanted to let go but they just couldn't.

"Say something," he spoke again, "who are you?"

For this story, I'll be adding court scenes and I'll add some details of the case of Jong Hoon's student. I want to express my interest here on the law. But please understand if it won't be accurate as I'm just a highschool student who has plans of being a lawyer and a writer.
