Sol convinced Park Shin Ok to come to his nephew's trial. She promised she would make the prosecution drop the charges. She never told Jong Hoon to come but he unexpectedly showed up.

He looked at her as he walked. It looked like he was a model. He sat down.
A few minutes later, Sol stood up. "Your Honor, I'd like to summon a surprise witness." She confidently declared. Everyone in the courtroom murmured. She glanced at Jong Hoon, who was surprised as well.
"Order in the court!" The judge yelled as he pounded the gavel twice.
"A surprise witness?" He asked Sol, which she nodded to. "Please let them in."
That was when a woman in her 50s came in. Everyone looked at her. Park Shin Wook himself too was not aware of this surprise witness.
"Your Honor, she is Ji Kang Mi." The defense counsel spoke confidently. The surprise witness bowed her head politely.
"Any objections, prosecution?" Prosecutor Bae shook her head, sighing. She knew there was no way she could still win this case.
"You may proceed, defense counsel." The judge commanded. She nodded. Ji Kang Mi was sworn in. Meanwhile, Jong Hoon watched Sol proudly.
"Occupation?"
"I'm a psychiatrist."
"What's your relationship with the defendant?"
"I have no personal relationship with Park but I talked to him days ago about his fear of wearing caps."
"What did he say?"
"When he was around 13, his father gave him money to buy whatever he wanted as a prize as he had won a math contest in school."
"What happened next?"
"He always wanted to buy a cap so he bought one. But when he came back home, his father was lying on the floor unconscious. It turned out he had a cardiac arrest. All his life, he blamed himself for coming late and for buying that cap."
"What is your diagnosis as a psychologist?"
"Based on his reactions, he has PTSD or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder."
