Dead Ringer❞ ━ EPILOGUE

[WARNING]

Jungkook continued writing his notes, humming to Taehyung's complaints about not understanding anything.

"Like how can you even understand this bull, JK? I totally can't," Taehyung grumbled, continuing to curse out the teacher and lesson.

"Don't die on me, Tae. We only have 10 more minutes," Jungkook whispered to him.

"600 seconds?!" Taehyung groaned.

"Silence!" The teacher yelled making Jungkook snicker.

But Taehyung continued speaking. "Did you see the news? A gang attack happened and an infamous leader called Alpha is dead," Taehyung said making Jungkook snap his head towards him. "What?" He asked.

"Nothing," Jungkook replied with a smile.

After class ended, Jungkook walked out with Taehyung, disappointed that he didn't find Jimin anywhere. He hasn't seen him since morning so he concluded Jimin must be in the church hall. Jungkook planned to visit him later.

"Jungkook, I want to talk about a few things. Would be nice if we drink and talk," Taehyung suddenly said with a nervous smile. Jungkook raised his eyebrow at him.

"Something serious?" Jungkook asked.

"Yes...well at least for me," Taehyung replied.

"Alright then. We can go to that coffee shop and talk," Jungkook decided, patting Taehyung's back.

The two walk together in awkward silence, both of their minds filled with thoughts. Jungkook wanted to see Jimin so badly but he can't neglect his first friend like that.

They reached the coffee shop and walked in, choosing a seat. Jungkook ordered a plate of chocolate chip cookies while Taehyung ordered cold coffee. Both chose to remain silent in the wait for their cookies and drink.

After a few minutes of waiting, their order arrived. "Call me if you need anything," The waitress said with a polite smile, bowing to them before walking off, leaving them to their privacy.

Jungkook takes a bite from a cookie, humming at the taste of the slightly melted chocolate chip. He plans to bring some cookies to his Aunt.

"So...hmm." Taehyung pursued his lips, closing his eyes. He took a deep breath and proceeded to exhale. Jungkook waited for him to continue, munching on his cookie and creating noises to fill the awkward silence Taehyung created. The coffee shop is bustling but it felt like it was silent since Taehyung wasn't speaking.

"Don't hesitate."

If this was a few months ago, Jungkook surely wouldn't have said that. He would've encouraged Taehyung to hesitate and shut his mouth...honestly, he wouldn't have even gone on this 'stupid' date.

Jungkook was aware of the changes Jimin brought upon him. He got the courage to speak up for himself, speak to other people because of Jimin.

The college boy is planning to write a book with the title being 'Talking with ghosts gives me ghostly confidence'. Or he will change the title but yeah, Jungkook is planning to publish a book on his experience of meeting a ghost, loving a ghost, kissing a ghost, fucking a ghost...

"I am seeing someone," Taehyung finally spoke, clearing the curiosity in the air. And flickered confusion over it...at least for Jungkook.

"I am seeing you too, Taehyung. And you are seeing me. What's the fuss about this?" Jungkook questioned making Taehyung stifle a giggle.
