At first, it felt really awkward as Miyeong helped Moon settle down at the edge of the stool with her head placed in the sink. But then conversation started.
As Miyeong gently drew her fingers through her hair, Moon closed her eyes. It felt really good. It felt like someone was taking care for her. So she whispered "Thank you."
"It's nothing. I do it for Jungkook all the time."
"Dying his hair?"
"No, just washing it."
Moon bit her lips as she exclaimed "He is really lucky."
Miyeong's movement slowed down. She remembered everything that Jungkook had told her about Moon's family.
"Moon..?"
"Yes?"
"You have really nice hair."
That just made her day.
After that it was easy to open up to Jungkook's mother. Moon talked much more than she usually does. They talked about Jungkook's childhood and then about Moon's childhood. There were laughs and understanding from both the sides. Moon was happy to see Miyeong does not pity her.
It was good to talk to a lady who must be as the same age as her mother. And then she wondered how her mother must be right now. Did she have more kids? Does she live well? Is she alive? If yes, then does she remember her?
They were laughing about how Jungkook fought a dog when he was three years old, there was a knock on the bathroom door.
Moon was wearing nothing but a white tshirt which was wet from the front, sticking to her figure. Her hair was wrapped in plastic as it was supposed to stay in place for at least 20 minutes for good colour.
But she didn't stop when Miyeong opened the door.
"Jungkook, No." she heard her saying.
"Mumma please."
Miyeong turned around to look at Moon who nodded.
So Jungkook stepped in and as soon as his eyes landed on Moon's figure, he got flashbacks of her in the rain.
His mouth opened and then closed, then opened and closed. He stood there dazed and Moon swore even the walls could see how much she was blushing.
"You look......" Jungkook trailed off because his mother was staring at him as if she has seen an alien. Damn, he really must be looking like a lovesick puppy. An urge to touch Moon crossed him.
