Blooms POV
We were all so silent. Everyone was to busy processing everything that just happened rather than talking, Stella especially. I can't believe her own mother would hurt her like that, even after all the cruelties shed done to her as a child. And now this new, hench, handsome boy comes along to be her bodyguard. Surely that would make Stella more mischievous than she was before... If you get what I mean. I surveyed each corridor as we passed, still searching for Sky. This was all my fault. If only I'd let Miss Dowling help me and not get my nose into business that wasent my own.
The memory of Rosalind saying it was brought to my mind again.
"Your previous headmistress has gone on a sabbatical... She'll be gone quite a while." If only that was true. I have hope on the outside that she's somewhere out there, but deep down I've learnt the truth. After all, Miss Dowling was like a mother to me, if she was planning on leaving, she would have told me. Part of me wants to move on, but the other part of me is more hurt than I'll ever be. I already lost one mother, I can't lose another.
As I was thinking I didn't realize the tear that was slowly picking up speed down my face, and wiped it away. I didn't want anyone knowing I was like this, not after everything we had all been through. The girls didn't need this right now, there were much bigger things to worry about.
As we strode past each suite, I peered in to see about 2 guards in each one, throwing about the students belongings everywhere carelessly. Rosalind mentioned in her big speech about a spot check on the whole school to make sure no one was hiding anything, but I didnt realize how seriously she meant it. Riven clicked into my mind. If all his... Belongings were found out he would be in so much trouble. I didn't know whether to be happy or worried about it though, after all he completely betray us in going straight to Rosalind's side. Although there was something off about him, something to obeying.
As if by magic, Riven and Dane walked hastily past, struggling to hold the arms of, to all our surprise, Sam. We all gave a stare of confusion as they tried to move him forward, which clearly wasent working.
"SAM!! What are you both doing? Get off him!" Terra almost screamed this, she ran over towards them completely oblivious of the fact that Dane and Riven were much stronger than her to try and free her brother. This meant trouble. I knew Dane turned out to be an arsehole, but did he have to be such a dick to? I jogged over to join them, everyone in our group stopping to witness. Terra continued to shout as she tugged at Dane and Rivens hands clutched to Sam's forearms, clearly not making any progress.
"Terra!! You know we can't do anything, I know you want to help but we can't."
"Bloom you don't understand, he's all I've got, m- my dad we know he's just become a coward, I can't I-" As she said this she started to weep. I'd never seen her cry so much before. I held her and placed my chin on top of her head as she hugged me. Just then the others started to walk closer to comfort Terra and try to get something out of both Dane and Riven. Brandon of course, just stood and rolled his eyes, not caring at all, infact, not showing any emotion whatsoever. Wow. He was good.
"What the hell do you think your doing?!" Musa chimed in. She had had her headphones on before as we entered the school, there were to many people, and way to many emotions. She hadn't realized up to this point it was Sam they were trying to drag unconsciously across the floor.
"This is none of your concern. Now if you girls get out our way, no one has to get hurt. Understood?" There was definitely something off. Riven was low, but not that low.
"Excuse me? Do you even know what I can do to you? Now get the fuck off my boyfriend!" Things started to get real. Musa started to get closer and closer to Rivens face, all of us watched, including Dane, who hadn't said one word yet. Musas eyes began to turn a dark shade of purple.
"You don't mess with me." Just when we started to see Rivens change in facial expression, Andreas walked over to see why we were all crowded around.
"What is going on here?!" He turned to me, Aisha and Stella who were all trying our best to comfort Terra.
"This isn't some 5 year olds birthday party, you can all stop with the hugging now. " We immediately all separated, I still held on to Terras arm though just to keep a bit of comfort there. He then moved his eyes onto Musa.
"Now you. Do you think torturing the mind of young Riven here is going to help anything?" Musa said nothing, she looked down at her lilac shoes.
"Well?" She looked back up. I didn't need to be an empath to tell that she was frightened.
"I- I um... No sir." She said, then moved back a few steps to proceed into putting her headphones on. I gave her a little smile and rubbed her arm. We all needed a drink.
Finally, Andreas went to look at Brandon, who I'm not going to lie, I forgot was even standing there. How could someone be so still?
"I thought you were meant to be her bodyguard!" He pointed a finger at Stella, who then looked straight into Brandons eyes to give a smirk, and so did I. We were all quite amused in watching this new boy get told off, even Terra cheered up a bit, however was still looking at her almost lifeless brother.
"Sorry sir. It will never happen again. I promise." Even this he gave without any emotion. He was even more unreactive than Sam right now, and Sam was asleep.
"Good. And before you girls ask..."
He swerved round to look at the 5 of us.
"They found him unconscious in the library this morning, some sort of sleep potion reminiscent was in one of the books. Their just trying to move him into the greenhouse to get treated... I told them to do it without causing a scene, but obviously they need a lesson on what that is." He gave a look at the two boys, who then looked at eachother with frustration. They would do anything these days to stay on the good side of the teachers. We all gave a sigh of relief. At least he wasent being sent to the cells or something. Soon after Riven and Dane continued to drag Sam across the hallway, making their way to the greenhouse, while we all went on with our walk to the suite.
Stella was at the front, talking to her new bodyguard. I could fortune tell from even now that they were going to be a good couple. Aisha followed behind with Terra, trying to figure out why Sam was so surprisingly reading, which was a fair point, he hated books. Musa was a few steps behind all of us, in her own world with her headphones. I did truly feel sorry for her, she's had so much happen in the past few years Its impossible to know what she was feeling. Then, me. Still looking for Sky, the nowhere boy apparently.
We turned the corner to where our suite would usually be. Stella didn't even notice we missed it. What?
"Umm... Brandon, you do realize our suite is here right?" The rest of the girls also looked at Brandon, confused to why he was still continuing to walk away from the suite.
"Your rooms have changed, your down this hallway now." He pointed. Great. I knew what was coming, the dreadful packing of clothes and books and everything in our room was going to have to be moved.
Two.
Hallways.
Away.
Brandon ushered us all into our new suite. We all looked around, and when I say it was bigger, I mean, bigger.
"Wait a second..." Musa took her headphones off and threw them onto the floor to go and walk into each room.
"We all have our own room? But I thought... But I thought Rosalind was evil?"
We all turned to Brandon, expecting him to know all the answers.
"Oh you wernt told? There's a new girl joining your suite today... There's alot more space but one of you will have to share a room with her. I think her name is Flora?" Before even being able to think Terra let out a shreak.
"WHAT!! Oh. My. Days. Flora? Here? Oh that's the surprise she was talking about!" All of us were silent. Who was Flora? She gathered herself to take a look at our facial expressions.
"Oh. Right. Basically Floras the cousin I told you about, nature fairy? Super nice?"
Ohhhh.
Well if she was as nice as Terra said she was, I'm sure we would all get along. As we all came to set our suitcases down in the common area and gave a stretch of the arm we were carrying it with, Brandon headed out, leaving to go and train. I guess we were left to carry all our stuff from our old suite to this one.
"I mean, I have to give it to them, we did all get our own room." Aisha tried to lighten the mood. Well yeah, they did give us that, but they also gave us a psychopath for a headmistress. Each of us called dibs on our rooms, which ended in rock paper scissors for who got the biggest. We all seemed happy, but we knew what was coming, and what Rosalind was going to put us through.
