Blooms POV
I was actually quite proud of myself today. I got all my stuff into my new room AND made a new friend. Wow. Mum would be proud, I'm going up sociably in the world.
Just as I was about to turn my lamp off to go to sleep, I heard the familiar voice of Stella chuckling, but it wasn't just her voice.
"Shhhh! Theyre all asleep." I heard her say in-between laughing. Stella was probably the worst person alive at whispering. Anyways, it was time to see what all the fuss was about, even though I had a pretty good guess of who she was giggling with.
I got up out of my bed and tried as carefully as possible not to make the floor boards creak, in my new room I didn't know where the loose boards were so it was more difficult than expected. I slowly opened my door to see Stella on our side of the main entrance, whispering and chuckling away with someone on the opposite side as if they were 11 year olds having a lesson on sex education. After a while she closed the door, waving goodbye to her mysterious friend and turned to walk to her dorm. I stepped out into the light ready to bombard her with questions, I need to know this guy's worthy of her before their relationship went any further.
"Well well well... Look who's having a great time!" I said with a grin. Stella looked at me in shock not realizing I was there thoughout all of their sweet talk.
"Oh, Bloom! I um didn't see you there..." She was trying ever so hard to hide a smile, damn this guy must have been good, Stella has very high expectations.
"I saw you with that guy!! Spill!!" She gave a smile and practically threw herself at me, probably happy that she could tell someone about it.
"I mean if I mustttt... But it has to be over a cup of tea. We may not be as good as Aisha at making them but still." Stella walked over to the kitchen and turned the kettle on, as we both got our beverages, we sat on the sofa curled up into balls either end.
"Soooo... Is that guy who I think it is?" Well I already knew the answer to that question.
"If by that you mean Brandon... Maybe." She smiled as she drank from her cup. I knew it.
"But I thought you weren't into super strict, no talking, no nonsense guys?" I didn't mean that, but I kinda did at the same time. It was so unlike Stella to go off with someone like that, especially considering Brandon was her mum's choice.
"He's not all that strict, I broke the ice after watching him train for hours. He's actually pretty nice..." Stella then stared at the floor without finishing her sentence, she was afraid of something.
"But?" I said out of confusion.
"But, he's my mum's soldier, Bloom. If she ever found out that we were completely non-professional today, she'd be furious with the both of us and replace him. I know she would." Damn, I didn't think of that. I felt so bad. Every time Stella was even a little bit happy, Luna always took it away from her.
"I'm so sorry. I know your mum can be a pain, but if it helps I won't tell anyone, besides you two are only just getting to know eachother, you'll never know how it'll turn out." I was lying, I saw that look on her face when she was talking to him. It was the look I gave Sky that day on the hill after I transformed. When I knew he was going to be a part of my life for a very long time.
"I guess so." She said then cheered up again, clearly trying to forget about her mum and focus on the time she had with Brandon.
"Anyways... Goodnight! Sweet dreams, oh also, I heard what you said before when I was gone and... You need to stop worrying! I'm fine with you and Sky, you two are practically made for eachother. I may have been a little jealous but please know that I love you two together and you'll always be my best friend anyhow." She pulled me into a hug as I smiled and gave a sigh of relief. Stella was definitely a friend for life.
"Thanks Stella, your the best."
"I know!" She replied, both of us chuckling after as she walked off into her room. I was left sitting in the common area, but as I was finishing my tea I kept on hearing a tapping sound, almost like water dripping into the sink. I looked over to the kitchen, but there was no water dripping. I got up to follow the sound and ended up in my room. After about a minute or so, I realised it was coming from my window. I opened it to see Sky standing on the grass throwing small rocks at the panes of glass, and almost nocking my eye out before he realised I was standing there.
"Owch! Sky what the-" I ended up just laughing it off, my mind being brought back to all the movies I watched as a kid, this scene being in all of them.
"Sorry! I um... Do you want to go on a walk?"
"It's 12am, you know that right?" I said with a smile, he gave one back at me.
"And what better time is there to do so?" I rolled my eyes and then realised that I would have to get down somehow. Great. Heights were definitely not my thing and I was not expecting to have to climb down through a window today. I looked down and examined the sheer 7ft drop. I then flickered my eyes towards Sky, who also had the thought dawn on him on how I was going to get down. I then sighed, I might aswell, worst comes to worst I die, which would be better than spending the rest of my years with Rosalind commanding me.
"The things I do for you..." I said sarcastically as I found out that flexibility wasent my strong suit, but still managing to get out the window and onto the plant climber, which I used as a ladder to get down. I jumped onto the grass and gave a look of astonishment.
"Well, I must admit. You should consider the Olympics." I hit him on the arm and grinned.
"I'd like to see you try climb down a wall without warning." He shook his head and grabbed my hand. We started walking and I saw the look in his face that he gave when he was trying to cover up that he was stressed. He would not be a great actor.
"What's wrong?"
"I just..." He stopped and turned towards me.
"Silvas gone, my new so called father turns up and I'm expected to be able to govern a whole country at some point... You learn something new everyday I guess." I tried to stay calm, even I was stressed about his father coming back.
"Sky it's not fair on you that Andreas laid all that on you on the first day. And we can't give up hope on Silva, we will find him again." In my head I said 'and Miss Dowling'. It had only been a day and I was already thinking about where she could be in the back of my brain. Sky read my mind.
"And Miss Dowling. She's not dead Bloom, I promise." He brought me into a hug and laid his cheek on the top of my head.
"We've had a pretty tough past few months haven't we." Sky agreed.
"Tell me about it." We stayed in comfortable silence for a few seconds and then heard footsteps approach. Why was it always me and Sky who were interrupted.
"It must be Andreas, he's on guard duty tonight, quick." He took my hand and ran towards the plant ladder, where I had climbed down to get to him. We both got up through the window quick enough so he didn't see us and watched Andreas as he walked past my dorm slowly with a torch in his right hand.
"Phew. Is it just me but it always seems to be him who comes after us?" I said as Sky looked out the window until he was out of sight.
"He's watching me like a hawk I swear. Anyways, I should probably get back, I don't wanna get you in trouble."
"You could stay here if you want? The girls won't tell on you." He smiled and started to take off his armor he wore for the day whilst I clambered into bed, him following after and pulling me close as we both went to sleep. I felt his smooth skin on my back and his breath wave my hair as he kissed me goodnight. I was happy, but I felt guilty. We were all worrying about what was going to happen, especially with Rosalind and her plans, which probably consisted of training us all to be killing machines. But I was just sitting here, doing nothing about it. I tried to get my head out of thinking what if scenarios. Tomorrow was when it all started. And tomorrow was when we would start planning on a way out, somehow, to get Silva and Miss Dowling. We were not going to let these people take over without a fight.
