"Mercy, what is going on?"

"Bella and Alex have a lot they need to tell you" you look past him to Carol "I apologise that you got dragged into this" 

"Your apologising to the woman who spoke to you like shit?"

"Yeah because it's because of your friend and my friend that she is here. What did you promise her Alex?"

"What the hell are you talking about Mercedes?" Alex pipes up

"You! What did you promise Carol if she came back here and ruined our relationship?"

"Rob man we need to get away from these people"

"Alex what the hell are they talking about?"

"Sweetie, I love you more than anything in the world. I wouldn't have asked you to marry me if I didn't but you need to believe me when I say Alex isn't the good guy here"

"Why?"

"All this shit, the Chancellor finding out all this shit with Bella it's all down to him"

"He wouldn't?"

"Listen to Rob I have known Bella for a few years now and I know when she is lying to me can you honestly look at Alex and say the same?"

"If I believe he is lying I lose the only family I have"

"No you don't because still have me and our son"

"Merce"

"Ask him"

He turns around and looks at Alex "Tell me the truth"

"They are liars Rob, i'm like the closest person too you"

"Oh fuck this" Bella stands in the middle of them both "Rob, he's in love with you he has been for a very long time. He's the one that got that guy to chase your wife until she caved and screwed him she's not that innocent though because you tried to take everything he owned, Shame on you Carol... Whatever anyway he convinced you to live here to stay here with him and you had no one until you met Mercy and you were obsessed with her like she was obsessed with you" She looks at Alex "Feel free to jump in it's all gone to far Alex" She looks back at Rob "He called your boss and then called the receptionist to add Carol's details to the function invitations hoping that one day she will turn up to one"

"Shut up Bella"

"No tell the truth, I am a shit friend to you Mercedes and I am so sorry that I have acted like the biggest spoiled brat in the world, jealous that you have everything that I allowed him to make me help him to hurt you and I am sorry and I pray to God that one day you will forgive me and let me back into yours and that babies life"

"I need to leave and Rob I love you so much but unless you get rid of him and her i'm not coming back. Our son will not be in the middle of this toxic situation so please sort it out"

"Mercy don't leave me"

"I need you to sort this and then call me when you make a decision"

You get back in the car and you go and book yourself into a hotel, needing to be away from everyone and everything that is going on

Robert's POV

When Mercedes left you, Alex and Bella all went inside and you told Carol to get lose you didn't want her around no more. Bella refused to leave until Alex started speaking and you know deep down the girls are telling the truth, Mercy wouldn't leave you if she didn't believe it all. 

After a few hours Alex finally cracked and told you everything the being in love to trying to ruin both mine and Mercedes life so that you would be alone again. You argued, you shouted but you wanted him gone. You kicked him out of the house and Bella too, you cut him completely off and no longer help with a place to stay. He was willing to hurt Mercedes and you couldn't have that anymore she and your son had to be your priority right now. You pull out your phone and try to call her but it just rings through so you decide to text her 

He confessed to it all. I'm sorry R.x

I'm glad he did M 

Why won't you answer my calls? R x

I don't wanna talk right now M

Not right now Please give me some time, I lost a lot because of our relationship and I need some time to sort my head out M

You understand her need for space, since you met her you guys started a whole forbidden love affair then she was kicked out of college and then pregnant it's a lot to happen in a short space of time. You just wish you could be with her or at least know where she was.
