"I can't believe I'm sitting here in this restaurant"
"Well believe it, I know how much you have really wanted to come here"
"Yeah like forever we have just never really been able to afford it"
"Well now I have a good job and well you have a rich husband so now we can do the finer things"
"Well why don't I pay for tonight?"
"Because it's my late birthday gift Mercedes"
"Okay okay fine"

"Can I get you ladies a drink?"
"Yes we will have the bottle of the Dom Perignon"
"Mercedes I can't afford that"
"I'll pay for the drinks"
"Yay okay"
The waiter nods and walks away and soon returns with the bottle and two glasses, he pours our drinks and leaves us to chose our meals
"This really is fine dining"
"Only the best for us right"
"I've missed this"
"And me, I mean things are so different now so it's nice to dress up and just be young"
"I know I mean god your a mother now and a wife"
"I know I think the wife thing shocks me the most you know"
"And me! Miss I will never settle down with anyone"
You laugh "then this sexy professor came into my life and I swooned"
"God I remember when he was an asshole to you on the club"
"And me! I really thought what a dick head and now he's like the one"
"I honestly thought he was a total prick mind"
"He was" you both laugh "now he's perfect, perfect husband perfect father"
"I'm glad you have him and baby Robbie! I mean you finally have the family you always wanted"
"Yeah and I have you back so it's perfect it's the family we always wanted"
"And I met someone"
"What? And you didn't tell me?"
"I didn't want to jinx it,
"I get that"
"He's amazing though"
"Tell me more"
"His name is Raf, short for Raphael he's from Apulia in Italy. He was over here travelling with his friends when we met. He's perfect and beautiful"
"I need to meet him"
"Do you think Rob would double up?"
"Uhh yeah! He won't have a choice I want to meet Raf"

You and Bella continue talking about her new boyfriend and you order another bottle of champagne. You've totally missed being with your best friend!

Your phone starts to ring and Robs name is on the screen

"Excuse me two seconds it's Rob" she nods her head at you and you walk outside to the garden

"Hey baby"
"Hey Merce what time you thinking of heading back?"
"Uh I'm not sure why is something wrong?"
"No, Robbie is down for the night and I'm about to take a shower and head to bed just checking if you wanted me to wait up or?"
"No go to sleep. I'll kiss you when I'm home"
"I'll be waiting"
"Goodnight"
"I love you"
"I love you handsome pants"

He laughs and you hang up the phone to him and walk back into the restaurant

"Slut" and with those words you were pushed into a wall
"Excuse yourself! Rude" you straighten yourself and shout after the girl but she walked away! You wait in the queue for the toilet and text Bella where you are!

You walk into the toilets and into a cubicle.
"Mercedes?" Someone calls out
"Who is it?"
No one answers you
"Hello? Bella?"
Nothing
You flush the bathroom and unlock the door, with a band the door smacks back into your face and you fall backwards
"You see you little whore you took what was mine"
Hot sticky liquid pours from your head, your picked up by your hair and pushed onto the toilet, the woman grabs your face hard pinching your cheeks together
"You don't deserve him! You trapped him! Stuck him with a baby! He was going to be free and happy with me"
A slap hits your face and then another, then it was no longer a slap. Blow after blow she punched you in the face, you couldn't speak you couldn't make a sound. Tears poured out of your eyes and your hands waving about trying to stop the next blow but you were too weak.
"You stole what is mine"
She pulls you up once more and then punches you down and this time you lay on the floor, dazed and confused you move your head and look up and the final blow is her boot heading straight for your face. Your eyes close the pain unbearable you slip away into the darkness.
