Densi 13: Anniversary

hey guys! okay as we all know April 6th is the day Deeks joined NCIS:LA so in honor of that i am writing this one shot so enjoy it and feel free to leave feedback and ideas in the comments thank you :))

okay um so enjoy this and sorry i haven't posted as much...im experiencing writers block, as well as not having lots of time...and i am a huge procrastinator so that doesn't help aha okie dokie anyways enjoy! :)

Deeks' POV

I'm woken up by the sound of my phone buzzing on the nightstand beside the bed. I feel Kensi shift against me and bury her face deeper into my chest, trying to drown out the buzzing.

I reach my free arm, that is not currently being smothered by my girlfriend, over and pick up the phone. It was a text from Hetty.

Mr. Deeks, you and Miss Blye may come in late today. It is a very special day for the two of you and I assume you'd like to spend a bit more time together! See you at 12:00pm instead of the usual 8:30am! Have a good day!

Special day? Wait, what's the date today? I question myself and then go to the calendar on my phone.

April 6th.....April 6th.....

Then it hits me. April 6th is the day I joined NCIS. It's Kensi and my 5year partner anniversary!

"Kens. Baby, wake up." I whisper to her as I start placing gentle kisses on her cheek and lowering down to her neck and collar bone. "Mmm. Deeks." She moans my name before opening her eyes and looking at me.

"Guess what today is?" I smile and continue to kiss her neck softly. "Umm...April the.....sixth??" She says. "Yup. Happy partner anniversary Kens!" I smile and kiss her lips gently. "Oh my gosh! It's been five years, hasn't it?" She says. "Yes it has my love." I smile at her.

She sits up and straddles my lap as she moves her face mere centimeters away from mine, her lips almost touching mine. "Happy five year anniversary Marty Deeks." She smiles as she places her lips gently on mine in a soft, passionate kiss. "Happy five year anniversary Kensi Blye." I smile and return the passionate kiss.

My hands start tracing up and down her sides and things are getting more intense. "Kens," I whisper breathlessly as she lifts her lips from mine, "Hetty said we can go in at noon, not tomorrow." I smirk. She cocks her head questioningly. "You keep this up, and I'm never letting you leave this bed or my arms ever again." I smile and kiss her again. "Well, how about we go take a shower, then have some breakfast, go to work and when we come home, I promise I won't leave your arms or the bed until we're done celebrating." She smiles and kisses me again. "Deal." I smirk and kiss her back as she rolls off of me and gets out of the bed.

I sit up and get ready to leave the bed myself as I see Kensi walking towards the bathroom, stripping off her clothes as she walks away. I smile and think "how did I get so lucky". Then I follow her retreating for into the bathroom and straight into the shower.

After an hour in the shower, we both finally get out and dry off. She puts on dark blue skinny jeans paired with a white t-shirt and black combat boots. I quickly slip on my blue jeans paired with my blue baseball shirt and work boots.

We both head down to the kitchen, where I cook us a batch of chocolate chip pancakes. When they are ready, we sit down and eat them.

After breakfast is finished, we both grab our bags, because it is now 11:30am, and head to the SRX in the parking lot.

Kensi gets in the drivers seat and I get in the passengers one and then we are on our way to OSP.

"Five years and I've driven maybe ten times in total." I laughed. "Not my fault I'm a better driver than you." She smirked. "Says you." I smirk back. "I am too a better driver." She says. "Mmhmm." I say as she makes a quick right, almost sending us flying. "Oh shut up." She says and then whacks my arm lightly. "Like I said, says you." I smiled and then stopped talking.

We pulled into the parking lot at OSP and then both got out of the car and went inside.

We walked into the bullpen and were greeted by the smiling faces of all of our co-workers: Hetty, Nell, Eric, Sam, Callen and even Granger.

"Happy five year partner anniversary!" They all shouted happily and then Nell walked up to us holding a cake. "Awe! Thanks you guys!" Kens and I smiled. We cut the cake and ate it together.

The day was pretty uneventful when it came to work. There were no new cases so we all just did some old paperwork that needed to be finished and worked out in the gym and firing range for a bit too.

By 5:00pm everyone is packing up and ready to leave. "Well, since it's your five year partner anniversary, we all want to treat you guys to drinks." Callen started. "However, with the recent knowledge of your...closeness, we decided that it's best that we leave you two alone to celebrate by yourselves tonight and then go out for team drinks on Friday. How does that sound?" Sam finished.

"Sounds like a plan! We love you guys!" Kensi smiled as she hugged each of them and then slipped her bag on her shoulder. We all said our goodbyes as I threw my messenger bag over my shoulder and linked my hand with Kensi's as we walked to the car.

When we approached the car she threw me the keys. Being surprised, I didn't catch them in time and they fell to the ground with a chime. I bent down and picked them up.

"What's this for?" I asked. "They're keys, they make the car start." Kensi said with a smirk. "Ha ha. Yeah I know they're keys but why do I have them?" I asked. "You say you're a better driver, so go ahead and drive." She smiles and gets in the passenger seat. I take in a deep breath and get in the drivers seat, start the car and drive us back to my place.

When we arrive home, we go inside and eat our Chinese takeout on the couch while watching Top Model reruns as usual.

When midnight hits, I feel Kensi's head drop onto my shoulder. I chuckle lightly and shut off the TV. I scoop Kensi in my arms as her arms go around my neck.

I walk us to the bedroom and put her down gently in the bed as I get in beside her.

I slowly wrap my arms around her as she buries her face into my chest again and cuddles me tightly.

"Goodnight Kens." I smile and kiss her. "Night Deeks." She mumbles, almost not even understandable and places a soft kiss on my bare chest.

We slowly doze off to sleep in each other's arms. As I fall asleep, I think about how much I want the next five year anniversary we have to be our five year wedding anniversary.
