The glistening water breaks
Against the rocky shore
As I watch with a satisfied smile.
It soon becomes hypnotizing
The cool liquid sloshing
Through my burning emotions
And so I step further
Into the tantalizing ocean.
My senses elude me
The cold water has made me numb.
Scales of tiny fish that scatter
reflect against the sun like diamonds.
Deeper into the suffocating
Water I go.
It pours into my screams
Causing me to choke.
So much I have lived for.
So much I have seen.
All for nothing as I struggle
Against the current pulling me under.
Nothing but darkness
Greets me beneath the vast
Pool of glistening
Water so cool.
