She stood on the edge
Swaying with the wind
Her voice a gentle sighShe took one step forward
She took one step back
Hovering near the cliffHer hesitating steps
So gentle at first
Soon grew confidentShe came here she knew
For a single purpose
She came to danceHer body twirled
Her arms and legs
In graceful harmonyShe spun and she flew
Her hair wild
The world disappearedAs she danced
It steadily got harder
The steps complicatedShe grew dizzy
Her feet faltered
Her body slowedShe looked down
At the feet that betrayed her
The energy had left her.Maybe she wasn't free
Maybe she couldn't fly
Her dreams were just dreamsLegs dangling over the edge
As wishful as the wind
The girl let out a sigh
