"You're such a pussy, Mikio..."

"What do you mean?!"

As of now, the rugby team was all shouting at one of their teammates, Mikio who was dumbfounded while the many question marks were appearing above his head.

"You kicking Y/n off the team! Like I know he bashed you're head on the table but you were just being dumb!"

"Well, he shouldn't have hit me anyways... He got it what was coming..."

"And what do you mean by that... Mikio?"

A voice that the boy knew instantly who the voice that asked behind him. He start to sweat despite sitting down on the grass as he puts on a scared smile. "H-Hey, Y/n!"

"...Hey..." the boy waved, unfazed as Mikio tried his best to stand his ground against the Reaper. "A-Aren't you supposed to be suspended, Y/n?"

"Shut up, Mikio!" Their teammates shouted at Mikio who gave them a glare. "From the team... You want me to get suspended from school, let's fight..." he heard Y/n made a request as he sets his legs up and was ready to fight.

That would be fun to watch but one of the co-captains comes in and pushes Mikio away from Y/n before anything rash happens to them. Specifically to Mikio who knew he wasn't gonna stand a chance. "Mikio, go somewhere else before he gives you a more brutal reason to go back to the nurse's office..."

But the boy wanted to show what he was made of. "I'm not scared of you!"

"Really?"

Yet it failed miserably. "...No..."

That's when Mikio start to scuffle away from the team and onto the field where Y/n doesn't hesitate to sit near the sidelines with his legs crossed together. His team knew something was up if he was here while under the knowledge that he wasn't welcomed here for a week.

"Listen... I need your guys help..." his team looked at each other and nods. "Sure, what is it?" They asked and sat in front of the emotionless boy.

First, Y/n breaths in lightly, how was he going to explain it to them clearly.

Then he start to get a bit more comfortable in his position and finally, "...Gamo and I had a little... disagreement..."

"..." Y/n's team was a bit confused but in his eyes, he thought they got through the white lie that he tried to make up to not feel bad about himself.

"...Sorry, I lied... I yelled at Gamo because she called me a name..." he told the whole truth.

His team all now glanced at each other.

He yelled at someone, nothing new. But this was a girl he was talking about. His crush, why would he yell at the girl over such a name.

"A... name?"

The boy nods solemnly, guilty of his actions. "She called me 'Paisen'..." he turns away from his team, still filled with shame but continues on. "...and then I got angry because I thought she was making fun of me..."

...Does he not know?

They figured out the situation in a snap just by hearing what Gamo had called him. What was the truth about her calling him Paisen out of nowhere?

"...You know it's a pet name, right?"

The team all nods in agreement.

All the boy did was stare at him. Then the realization settles into him, an assumption as his eyes widens. "So she's calling me a dog?!"

"What?! No, Y/n! Pet names when associating with someone you like mean they want to give you a title that would make you blush or to tell you that they like you very much..."

...That makes much more sense...

Y/n was starting to see it now. Or in his eyes, it's like when he or someone finds a cute dog and they can't help but call it a nickname that would make them energetic and happy. But one more thing was in his mind right now.

"So... Why is 'Paisen' a pet name? I don't see any unique meaning of 'Paisen' at all..."

Now his teammates were getting a bit frustrated. Well, it's not their fault that Y/n had closed himself off from everyone before because of trust issues, but sometimes they wondered what the hell he's been doing for the past few years if he doesn't know what pet names are when associating with people.

One of them sighs softly with his face in his hand. "...You gotta think dude... If you rearrange 'Paisen' and 'Senpai' around and put 'Sen' in front of 'Pai', you know what 'Paisen' really means..."

"So really, she's calling you 'Senpai' in a really unique way..."

"...I..."

It was slowly getting to him.

"...I really haven't thought about it that way..."

"Yeah... We know..."

Right now, the boy was reflecting on what he has done from the past few minutes that had happened before.

All was but a misunderstanding on his side, assuming that the girl his teammates said he a crush on was bullying and taunting him with a name that he thought was an instill against him. A way to bully him as he shouted at the girl and ending up making her cry in front of his eyes.

He was filled with regret.

If he had a time machine, he'd go back and just accept the name and go on with their days as best friends. But he just had to jump the gun, his hands were shaking softly as his arms starts to hug his knees into his chest.

It was his turn to cry for today as a drop took it's time to run down his face. A small sniffle as his head was foggy as of now.

"... I don't know what to do now..." he said, his voice unaffected by the negative emotion that was slowly taking over him.

"I think... I think I might've lost her now... because of me not knowing what a stupid pet name is..."

He hugs tighter, his nails sunk into his knees as he grits his teeth.

"What... What the fuck do I do?! I am so dumb..."

He continues to stare off into his own imagination, still fixated at the problem he caused in the art room as a voice swoops in to save the day. "Well... There's one thing you CAN do..."

Upon hearing it, Y/n flashed towards his teammate and gripped the collar of his shirt tightly, violently shaking him. "Really?! Tell me! TELL ME!" He repeats the statement with desperation until the boy's shoulders were accompanied with a pair of hands, halting him from shaking his teammate any longer.

"Relax! Relax, man..."

Y/n lets go and figured out what he has done and backed away.

"...Sorry..."

"It's fine..."

"...Back to what I was saying... There is one thing you can do... It will be hard considering you was an... outcast from everyone in school..."

Pat!

He finds the Repaer on the ground with his head into the grass, bowing down to him as he shouted with plea. 

"Anything! I will do anything to get her back!"

"Anything?"

"Anything! So please... PLEASE tell me!"

Y/n's teammate at first was a bit skeptical. He doesn't know if the boy'll truly keep his word on 'anything' because he knows this will be hard for him. This was one of the few steps in receiving forgiveness specifically from the girl the boy has been crushing on for so long...

But he's confident that he'll do it, even if he has doubts that the boy will never follow through with what he stated earlier. Y/n's teammate takes a final breath and...

"...You gotta ask her out to the school's festival by apologizing to her..."
