It's been half an hour since Gamo and Y/n dealt with the incident at one of the booths. They could be seen on a bench just outside of the festival, eating and ice cream cone.

Someone's ice cream drops down to the ground, a girl yelps as she witnessed her ball of ice cream landing on the pavement of some pebbles and rubbish. She lets out a sigh. "Dammit..."

"That was some great luck, huh?"

A voice said as she turns to see Y/n who saw it unfold in front of him. All she does was pout. "Don't be so mean!~"

That made Y/n chuckle, seeing the girl playfully frown at the boy while eyeing the ruined snack on the ground.

Then, "Here..." she turns her attention to the boy who offered his ice cream out to him. "...Take mine's..." he said before she start to turn pink.

"No! I don't... I mean-"

"Just... take it..."

And then a small smile. His mouth formed a soft and gentle smile to the redhead. Her heart skipped a beat at the sight before accepting his request.

"O-Okay..."

She takes it but was still hesitant. "Are you sure you don't want it?" The boy nods.

"I'm sure... I like to see that smile from you is why..."

Then, Y/n realized what he had just said and blushed immensely and so did Gamo. "E-Eh?!"

The h/c quickly turned away, hiding his reddening look as Gamo's flustered smile was seen on her face, scooting over to the boy. "W-Why?~" she tries her best to tease the boy.

"B-Because... Because..." he attempts to find an lie that would take the cake.

"...I... hate... seeing people... be sad?"

"I know that's not the reason..." Gamo frowns.

"Tell me, really... Why do you like to see me smile?"

Was it really time now, Y/n thought.

His true reasoning wasn't that simple to him but he doesn't know if he has the confidence to tell Gamo that whenever she smiles, she looked really... really pretty.

But, he goes all in as he takes a deep breath. "...I-"

Boom! Crackle!

An explosion in the distance. Colors flew in the sky as Gamo's eyes widens and hops out from her seat. "The fireworks! We're going to miss it!" She yells before using her free hand to pull Y/n from the bench and leads him close to the show.

While they were running, the two could find a large group of people flooding the path in front of them but Gamo doesn't slow down. Y/n on the other hand was daydreaming a bit, it's been a few years since he watched a firework show. He'd miss the loud explosions and the bright colored drawings in the sky, it was such a pretty sight to see.

He continued to rethink about the past when he turns his head and finds a path. His head immediately remembered the last time he went to the firework show with his former friends. Y/n lead the group away from everyone else who were following the norm and found a sight that nobody could ever find.

The boy was ready to smile, not before he squeezed his hand on Gamo's and stopped in their path. "Huh? Y/n? What are you- DOING?!"

He leads the girl into the dark path that Y/n remembers so clearly, sprinting through the trees and inside the dirt path that had provided.
