Lunch with the Reaper

The boy was frozen in place, he heard someone call to him as his eyes had landed on someone familiar. A girl with orange hair that matched as well with her almond  eyes as she waved to him.

And along with the redhead was a pair of blondes that sat with her on the table, they all had mixed reactions on their faces as they see his "deathly" glare darting at the two.

He turns back at the orange haired girl who smiled at him. "Hey, Y/n!" She greets him once more as he was a little delayed on the greeting but waved nonetheless. "See? I told you that was his name!"

She gets up from her seat and walks over to him, motioning him to follow her. "Come and sit with us!"

Y/n was a little reluctant to sit with her and her friends, he simply shakes his head no and goes to find an empty table in the room.

"Come on, dude! Don't be such a hot head and sit here!" He heard her say as she grabs the back of his collar.

This brought a little spark in Y/n's mind, he turns back at the girl who furrowed his eyes at her. A small reminder of what he could do to her as his brutal performance from a few days ago rolls into her mind. "S-Sorry..."

She finally lets go, Y/n was ready to leave but...

"You wanna... sit with us?"

A sudden mood change. Was this her true colors?

I don't know... But she seemed... kinda... cute?

He was a bit hesitant but sighs softly. The go ahead sign that he accepts Gamo's small offer as he comes around to her table and sits on the only empty chair that was next to one of the blondies.

This one had some chocolate brown eyes where she had a button white long sleeve shirt halfly tucked into her navy skirt. The other one had eyes that matched her hair, this one had a short sleeve shirt as a pink scrunchie was visible on her wrist.

These were only half of Gamo's friends, he takes a bite out of his lunch and was met with excitement next to him. "My!~ So this is the Reaper everyone talks about!~" the girl next to his exclaims softly, giving the girl a side stare.

"That is Sakura. She's usually flirty with a lot of the boys in this school so you don't have to take her compliments so seriously."

"Eh? Gamo-chan! You're so mean!" She pouts playfully as Y/n just nods at the redhead and continues to eat. "And this is Yoshi! We became friends back in elementary school! Right?"

"Right!" Yoshi smiles widely, earning another nod from the boy and takes another bite from his lunch.

Slowly, Gamo was getting a little weirded out at such behavior from the boy. He hasn't spoken to her since the game and hasn't talked to her friends at all. It was only nods and muffled answers thanks to the food inside his mouth.

Eventually, the girls were getting really comfortable with the boy around. For Y/n? He hasn't shown any particular emotion besides stern as Gamo was taking about her classmate in their class who just got back with her boyfriend.

"Did you hear that Yuki broke up with that nerdy musician?"

"What? Why's that?"

"To get back with her ex!"

"Eh? That was kinda harsh of her..."

"Harsh!"

"What do you think of that, Y/n?" They all turn to Y/n for his opinion on the situation. And as usual, he gives a shrug and shake his head, not in the mood for talking as that killed the conversation for now.
