Gabby Pov: Eariler that day
"Denise did you buy the soup?" Denise scoffed, "That's your job." he rolled his eyes. "Whatever, I need some hearty soup."

"Why?"

"It's my lunch." Denise laughed at me again, "This is why we don't have soup, because you eat it for lunch!"

"Ugh...fine. Are you going to come with me to buy something to eat?" I asked. He shook his head, "No, I have to help Link with something."

"Link? But isn't Link sick?" Denise took off his apron. "Who told you that?" He hung it up. "He's sick, he's been under the care of Princess Y/N. Wait...Denise!" He took off running down the hall and into Link's room. "Well, I better go eat my lunch, I'm too hungry to deal with this right now." I yawned and went to go make myself a monster soup. "I'll Y\N what happened later, she'll understand...right?" I told myself.

Y/N Pov: Present
"And you never meant to tell me this?!" I told Gabby, after she had told me what happened. "I was...but I got hungry."

I groaned, "Of course you got hungry. You're always hungry."

"Yes! I am. I am a chief after all, I long good food! Not the garbage Denise makes!" She rolled her eyes. "Denise makes great food!" I told her, "Whatever! Can we just go find Link and Denise?" I nodded. "I'll look on the east side of the castle, you can look on the other side."

"Why yes, of course princess," she said in a lame british accent. "Let's get on it then!"

"Link! Link? Link, it's Zelda!" No...that'll only scare him off even more. I thought and sighed. I stopped walking, and I found myself in the central square. It was dark and I could hardly see anything, but I saw a small light growing closer. "Link? Is that you?" I called out.

"What's a pretty princess like you doing out here so late?" I heard a feminine voice talk. "I'm looking for my friend...do you happen to know where he is? His name's Link, not very tall, blonde hair, most likely wearing a Nintendo shirt with a mask that looks like a heart with eyes."

It went silent, "Perhaps I have. Now tell me, what are you doing so far away from the castle." My brows furrowed. This was certainly very abnormal. "I'm not that far."

Out of the shadows, the woman stepped forward. She was wearing a red cloak with a black dress, she had a lantern in her right hand. "My name is Lola." She extended her hand out for me to shake it. I shook her hand then she showed me her palm, then flipped it back over quickly: THEY'RE WATCHING.

Is what her palm read. "Y/N." I answered. She nodded.

Suddenly, the light of then lantern went out, then it turned back on, but Lola was no longer there.

I stood there staring at the lantern. Who's they? Where did Lola go? Are they going to hurt her? I heard Gabby's voice in the distance. "Y/N I found him!" I looked to see him, "Where did you go?" Link chuckled and the scartched the back of his head, "Well..."

"Please don't do that ever again."

"Will do, princess." He smiled. My cheeks turned a bit red. I missed his smile. "Wait, where's Denise?" Gabby said. She looked at Link, "If you did anything to my friend, I will kill you." Link got behind me, "I don't know! He just left me there! I swear, I know nothing." Gabby laughed, "I know, but did he at least say where he was going?" Link shook his head. "I'm sure he'll show up tomorrow at work." I told her, "But can we go inside now? It's kind of...shady out here."

Everyone agreed and we all went inside.

***

All night, all I could think about was Lola and how she had just disappeared.

Who was watching? I guess we'll never know.
