After my sister burial Jeff and I walked home before my mom and SlenderMan. I couldn't stand seeing the face of a child I couldn't save. It was cold and the wind made my hair dance. Jeff didn't say a word, his skin seemed to become more tan since the day I met him, his hair looked like when you burn caramel.

"Are you okay?" I asked him

"Yeah, why?"

"Your hair, and skin," he stared at me in confusion, "your skin is tanner, and the color of your hair is changing."

He stopped, his expression blank. He stayed like that for a minute until he began walking and saying slurs under his breath.

An hour had passed and both of us were in our own rooms. Jeff was throwing things around in his room, mostly at the wall. I decided to ignore him and shower.

As I got out, I heard laughter in the dining room. I quickly changed into a navy blue strapless dress. Running down the stairs, I saw a girl, her hair was brown and messy, she wore a torn up green sweatshirt and jeans. My mom was laughing and talking to her as if nothing had happened.

"Mom?"

"Oh hi honey," she waved and SlenderMan pulled out a chair, "This is Kenna, she is our neighbor. She lives in the large house you pass by when going to the mall."

I sat down and stared at this "Kenna" trying to figure out why she was here.

There was footsteps coming fro, the stairs,

"Jeff?" Kenna gasped and got up. Jeff just gave her a weird look and pulled a chair next to mine and wrapped his arm around me.

"What?" he asked in an annoyed tone, "can I help you with anything Shane?"

"Shane?" I asked

"'Kenna' is a guy, he dressed like a girl to get the trust of girls' moms."

"Jeff, I just need you to come back."

"No thank you, I'm fine." he replied politely but with sarcasm.

"Return where?" I asked, Shane? Kenna?

"He needs to return to the people who took him in when he was a monster."

"IM NOT GOING BACK THERE." Jeff snapped and got up, grabbed me and dragged me up the stairs.
