Chapter 18

Nina knew that it was finally time to tell her daughter that she was leaving she didn't want to but she had to. Ian was their to support her she knew that this was not going to be easy. She kneeled in front of her daughter knowing her reaction wasn't going to be pretty."Parker i have to tell you something?" She was not prepared for how she was going to react she knew that her daughter hated being away from her but she had to.

Parker looked up at her mother confused at what she wanted to tell her."What is it?"

Nina took a deep breath it was now or never to tell her and she had to tell her. This was not something that she could keep from her daughter, no matter how much she wanted to. She knew that this was going to break her."I have to leave after your party?"

She may have been young but she knew what that meant. Her mom was leaving again after she had just gotten her back."What?" It was more of a whisper she didn't want to lose her mother again she was staring down at the ground as tears clouded her eyes.

Elena hated seeing her daughter like this she felt like she was a terrible mother."Your with me every weekend baby ok."

Parker hugged her mom she didn't want to let go. But again neither did Nina."I don't want you to go mommy." Her eyes were welling with tears she loved her mom so much and she didn't want to lose her.

Nina let go of Parker wiping the tears from her face she would never leave her daughter if she could she would have taken her with."I know and i don't want to go but its work and i have to ok."

"Please don't go mommy i don't want you to go." Parker begged it hadn't even been six months and Nina was already going to leave again.

Nina hugged her daughter she never wanted to let her go ."Every weekend you are with me."

Parker started to cry kids never wanted their parents to leave for anything and this was no exception even if she would see her on the weekends it wouldn't be the same. Not as being with her everyday."You promised that you weren't going to leave again,"

"Your still gonna see me every weekend." Nina reasoned but she knew that it wasn't helping her daughter was heartbroken that she was leaving and their was nothing that she could do about it.

"You said you weren't going to leave again you promised." Parker got of her mother grip and ran upstairs she knew that she knew that her mother didn't want to hurt her but it did.

Nina sat on the floor tears running down her face, she had promised and she betrayed her daughter."She hates me!"

Ian knew that this was not easy for her he knew that she didn't want to leave parker. But he also knew that Nina was preparing a future for her and her daughter and making difficult decisions between her career and her Daughter were apart of it."Neens."

She knew that her daughter hated her she was leaving and she had said that she would never leave again. She couldn't take her daughter with her because doing this movie was going to be a full time committment. And if she brought her she was basically going to have a nanny watching her everyday and she wanted her with family. Even if it hurt."Parker hates me i promised i would never leave her again and that is what i am doing."

"Nina everything will be ok." He knew that she was taking this hard he knew that Parker was taking this hard but staying away from eachother and crying wasn't going to do anything but take away the time they had before they left.

Nina wiped the tears from her eyes she looked over at him."Can you please try to talk to her." She prayed that he would be able to get through to Parker.

He nodded getting up and heading upstairs to Parkers room. She was looking at a photo of her and Nina."Parker."

She wiped her eyes she didn't want to go back to Canada she wanted to be with her mother."Are you leaving too am i gonna have to go back with Grandma."

"No."

She turned to face him she didn't get why her mother was leaving she really didn't want her to."Why is she leaving?"

He went and sat next to her he knw thats she was to young to understand everything that was going on."She has to do a movie and its a lot of stuff on the line for her."

"Am i staying with you?" She really hoped that she would she didn't want to lose both of her parents.

He nodded he wouldn't leave her when she was like that. He would make sure that she could be with Nina right now.."Yes."

"I don't want mommy to go?" She hugged her dad the tears flowing down her face again.

He hated seeing her like this to he was going to get through this divorce as quickly as he could so she could with her mother again."Your going to be with her the weekends and when i deal with everything here you will be with her again."

Parker let go of him and looked at him."Promise."

"Promise. You know this is hard for her she thinks you hate her." He knew that Parker didn't hate her but that this was just tough for her.

No matter what she loved her mother and would never hate her no matter what."I don't."

"You have to tell her that you don't want her to leave thinking you hate her."

"I don't want her to go." Parker was scared that if Nina left then she would never get to see her again and she didn't want to lose her.

"She has to but will see her again i promise." He would make sure of it.

"Can i lay with mommy tonight." She wanted to spend all the time with her mother before she had to leave.

He smiled and nodded he knew that would make both of them happy."I'd think she'd like that."

Nina had went to her room she was looking at the picture of Parker. She didn't want to leave her daughter but sometimes people had to make decision that would benefit them in the long run. The door opened her looking up wiping the tears off her face as Ian came in with Parker.

Parker looked over to her mother."Mommy can i lay with you?"

Nina nodded she could tell by the look on her daughter's face that he had gotten through to her and she was happy that he did. She couldn't stand her daughter not being able to be by her."Yeah."

Ian went over to the bed and sat her down next to Nina letting her cuddle up to her mother. She never wanted to leave her side."I love you mommy."

"I love you to baby." She looked up to Ian mouthing'Thank you'

They both needed this he knew that."No problem night Parker night Neens."

Ian walked out of the condo knowing that both girls were sleep and called his lawyer."I want the divorce finalized within a the next two months." He wanted it done as fast as he could for once he knew what he wanted in life. He wanted to spend his life with the two girls he loved the most.

"Does this have anything to do with Nina getting a knew movie deal and having to leave Parker behind." News had traveled fast about Nina accepting the deal and everyone knew that she wouldn't be able to take her daughter with her.

"It has everything to do with that."

"I'll get it finalized for you. But can i ask why you need it within the next two months." The lawyer was confused why they needed it done that fast but it was possible to get it done within that time frame.

"Nina does not want to leave Parker and she promised that she would never leave her. Parker is going to be staying with me while Nina has to film going their every weekend." He wanted to make sure that they never got seperated again.

The lawyer put the pieces together he understood why he had to get the divorce finalized."If you have the divorce you can leave Atlanta and move to where she is filming so Parker can always be here with her."

"Exactly" He would do anything to see Nina and Parker happy even if they never got another chance.

"I'll make it happen Nikki wants to go through with the divorce so their shouldn't be any problems."
