Chapter 20

Sakura pov:

2 months later

Today was Sora's trial.... It's sad that shes getting blamed for a crime she did not commit.

Despite her words she didn't kill anyone nor did she jump ino or karin. Who will also be there...

"Come on sakura we'll be late" sasuke said as i nodded walking towards the door with him. I was at his house since it was the weekend.

"You two be safe you hear?" Mikoto said.

"We will" i said as we both walked out the door.

Getting into sasuke's car and driving the ride to the courthouse was tense.

"Sakura, are you okay? You're quiet" he asked.

"Not really....what if sora is put to jail for years? She was already in jail for months...you know since she's 18 she can get sent to an actual prison rather than a youth center"

"She'll be fine...we have evidence on hand that she was with us both days" he said.

"Yeah i know..but we've been trying to prove that since the day she and the others were arrested." I said.

"This time we'll be infront of a judge..so maybe we can turn the tide of the trial" he said.

Maybe sasuke was right...i mean a judge could definitely listen to reason right? Sora is being wrongfully accused of something she didn't do.

When karin and ino walk free. Yes i know I shouldn't blame them without real facts...but i mean they're the only ones who would do something so grimey.

We eventually made it to the courthouse where we were put through a security search showing our id's so we could pass. Walking into the court room everyone was there, our friends from our new group and konoha 11, the hyuga clan was present, which is where neji and tenten sat. Sora's family was present as well as the uzumaki family and yamanaka where both karin and ino both sat.

Me and sasuke slid in next to temari and shikamaru. Unfortunately naruto had to sit with his family, since this trial involved karin too.

Michi and kailey sat with their parents, who rubbed their daughter's shoulders consoling them. But in all honesty michi and kailey both looked uneasy.

"All rise" was said as everyone in the courtroom rose to their feet.

"Judge Nashi everyone"

As the judge made their way up, we were all told to sit except for sora who was the defendant.

"Sora Yakatoshi" the judge said.

"Yes your honor"

"Will the plaintiff's lawyers please rise" judge nashi said as a man from karin and ino's side rose as well as a man with similar eyes to hinata and neji rose.

"State your names please"

"Sengoku namikashi, i will be standing with karin Uzumaki and Ino yamanaka"

"Sisawa Hyuga standing with the Hyuga clan"

"Alright then, so today's case is Sora Yakatoshi vs Uzumaki, Yamanaka, and Hyuga family" the judge said.

"Will Ms. Yakatoshi's lawyer stand"

"That will be me, Jin Shou"

"Alright Mr. Shou you have the floor"

"Alright.. so i call karin Uzumaki to the stand" he said as karin stood with a fake sling on her arm.

"Karin Uzumaki is it true that you barely knew hinata for the least amount of time unlike everyone amongst your peers?"
