Chapter 4 A Family Portrait Before The Sinking Of The Titanic

My POV: Lillian and I had decided to have a family portrait done on the Titanic I knew a good man Named Joseph Duncan he had a VPK camera and I had met him on one of balconies of the ship and asked him if he would be willing to take a picture of my wife and I with our son and he agreed and said he would meet us in our cabin in a half an hour I went back to our cabin and told Lillian to get little William ready and get herself ready so she does I had finished getting ready and was waiting patiently for Mr Duncan I decided that now was the time and I walked into the bedroom that Lillian and I shared holding a jewelry box Lillian was sitting in front of Vanity when she saw me walking in and saw me smiling happily

What are you smiling about Lawrence? Lillian asked curiously

I was going to wait until we got to New York but I decided to give it to you now I answered

Well what is it? Lillian asked getting up and walking towards me

I opened the jewelry box revealing a very expensive but very pretty necklace Lillian cupped her mouth in shock and amazement I smiled happily at her

Oh Lawrence it is so beautiful Lillian cried

Do you like it darling? I asked

I love it oh my goodness Lillian answered crying happily

Would you like to wear it? I asked

Oh yes Lillian said

I unclipped the end of the necklace and placed it around Lillian's neck then I kissed her cheek and rested my chin on her shoulder smiled happily as Lillian was admiring the necklace in the mirror then she turned around to me and smiled happily to me and kissed me on the lips and wrapped her arms around my neck

I love this necklace Lawrence I really do Lillian said

Well I'am glad you love it darling I replied

After I gave Lillian the necklace I went and got ready for getting the picture taken after I finished getting ready I went and sat down in the parlor I was sitting in a chair by the fireplace waiting with Byron and Samson resting by my side after a few minutes there came a knock on the door so I got up and answered it it was Mr Duncan

Hello Mr Talbot Mr Duncan greeted

Hello Mr Duncan I'am so glad and honored to do this with you I replied

Mr Duncan smiled happily and made his way in as he did Lillian came out with little William and I introduced them to Mr Duncan then we got started Lillian and I sat down on the couch that was in the room and Lillian sat little William on her lap and we posed for the photograph afterwards Mr Duncan managed to develop the picture and framed it and gave it to us

Well I hope you and your lovely wife will be happy with the picture Mr Talbot Mr Duncan said

Well I'am grateful that you were able to take the time to do this so I thank you again Mr Duncan I said

My pleasure Sir good evening Mr Duncan replied
