I woke up today in a random hotel room with a new sense of life instilled inside of me. I half thought that I dreamed the entire night, but then I quickly looked at my hand and saw the most breathtaking engagement ring I've ever seen in my life and relived it all over again.

I didn't wake up until close to 12PM. Finn and I didn't end up leaving the rink until close to 3AM and then he had me up until at least 7 or so. It's like every time we thought we'd exhausted ourselves, one of us would simply kiss the other and it would just cascade all over again.

My body is exhausted, my brain is exhausted. Between all that and the wedding, I'm just shot.

I haven't even really moved yet today. When I woke up, Finn was wrapped around me from behind fast asleep and there was no shot of me moving from that position. He was letting out little puffs of air with every breath and they were the cutest. He was snuggled so close to me, his face was right next to my ear and his legs were completely tangled in mine - one arm weighted heavily around my waist while his other hand was on my pillow and resting on the top of my head. It was pure bliss. It's still pure bliss.

When he did wake up we laid in bed for a while with my hand hovering above us as we admired the newest addition. I'd start giggling and he'd put his arm around me and dig his face into my neck and hold me close. It's so surreal.

I waddled my way into the bathroom with only a sheet wrapped around me after we were tangled for a while and when I came back out he was sitting up in bed with his back against the headboard while he checked his phone. Neither of us have looked at our phones in a pretty long time since really everyone we knew was at the wedding, but he looked stressed. Not the bad kind of stressed, more of the adorable kind.

He had 47 text messages. Casey and Grace, Morgan, his mom, Cam, Jack, literally everyone that was there last night had asked him if he did it. He told me that he told Casey and Grace when everyone was saying goodbye that he was going to do it, since he wanted to make sure it was okay with them that he did it on their wedding day even though technically it was the next morning. He was really trying to avoid doing anything that would retract from the wedding and didn't want them to be upset. But obviously they weren't, they've been pining for this for a long ass time and they couldn't care less that it was happening after we left their wedding.

Then Casey proceeded to tell every one of our friends, including Morgan and Dana - since he can't keep a secret for the life of him. All of their reactions to me last night make a bit more sense now. They all knew I was about to be proposed too.

Finn texted them all and said we'd talk to them later. He wanted to have some time just the two of us and I didn't fight that for a second. I love spending quality time with him. I know we literally live together but it's been a while since we just spent time doing nothing with one another. We used to spend nights like this but lately even that's been sparse, but I'm gonna make sure we get back to that.

Finn then left to go get something, which he wouldn't tell me what that was. He slipped on a pair of jeans and a crew neck, grabbed his keys, gave me a kiss and said he'd be back in a few.

Well, he took a second and just stared at me for a while. I'm pretty sure that's because I'm still naked, though. I only put a pair of panties on when I went to the bathroom.

I half did it because I'm comfortable doing it, and I didn't really feel like wearing anything, and half because I knew it would make Finn happy. Like he always says, he's a simple guy.
