A/N: The prompt was: "Write a poem on your favorite person or place." But I wrote a 'thank you' poem instead. Ah well, enjoy! :)

When I came
I wasn't expecting an invitation
To enter
This world
I came as a visitor
Neither a friend
Nor a guest
I didn't expect
That one day
I'd find thy words
To fill me
With felix
Like a jar
With honey
And love of a
friend filled to the brim
You helped with affection
I knew not
Strangers carried within
Their hearts
You made it for those
Invisible
To the eyes of all but
You
You made it for those
You knew not
And yet
Knew
To be those who carried within
The flames of the pen
Mightier than a sword
Weaker than gen
For those constrained
by the divine
Who were fine
And yet declined
To let the fire flourish
By using others' fuel.
We only wished to
Save our own.
"Fine" we said.
We will use ours.
Just let us strive
Once, using theirs.
You did it
for us.
For us, who were fearful
But not cowards
For us who did naught for you
But you returned nevertheless
You didn't have to.
But you did
You believed
in our flare
You believed not
In what we can or cannot do
But
In what we will or will not do
You believed
You alone believed
And we will pass it to the next.
We will APMA.
We will.
