The notification that started it all

It was an average day for me, Destani, and it was the beginning of the week so I wasn't too trilled.

I got on the bus like usual and began to copy my friends homework (the regular).

I copy other people's homework when I don't finish stuff and when I do other people copy it.

I do not quite understand why the copy my homework though because I am not the smartest.

I have grades on the lower side.

I occasionally get an "F" and the highest a grade gets for me is and "A-" and even that doesn't stay.

While I was copying down and answers and talking to a couple people my phone went off.

It was an Instagram notification.

It read,
"You have gained one new follower."

I wasn't sure who it could be so I checked it.

The account name was, "@dest.i.know.your.secrets".

I was freaked out and didn't know what to think.

I spread the word to everyone on the bus.

Everyone started laughing about it cause it was weird, random and creepy.

I wasn't sure if what they thought so I made up some dumb excuse on why the account was called what it was called.

"I bet the account was made for someone else who gets called Dest a lot cause I doubt it is for me."

I said this in the most convincing tone I could get at that time.

I truly was freaked out and needed to watch everything around me very closely.

I also needed to watch my every move to make sure I don't do anything stupid.

I sent a dm asking who it was to see if I would get a reply.

Maybe if it really was for another Destani or Dest than they would tell me and it would all end.

The rest of the ride was pretty much everyone talking about the account.

I went off into a daze closer to school though and I just stared out my window thinking hard.

It was worrying.

Then the bus screeched to a fault and my head hit the window.

It was for sure going to leave a bruise.

Before getting off I went through a list in my head.

Watch around me.

Watch what I do.
